So I've been buying out most of the herbs on AH this morning to flip into potions and, I kid you not, on almost every single herb there is hundreds upon hundreds of auctions posted like this, in stacks of 1, a single herb. And it's not just one guy being a douchebag, it's many different people and it's been happening far more often than during MoP, anyone else noticed this?

Honestly it's the most annoying thing that exists in the game right now, I'm even using the addon Auctionator to condense buying into single clicks - but that still makes me click hundreds of times rather than once to buy a nice stack of 200. Can't even imagine the hell that people without auction addons go through trying to buy materials.

In my opinion, griefing the AH like this should be a bannable offense - no seriously, it's unbelievably irritating.

Drives me nuts as well. As a buyer I hate people who do shit like that and avoid their sales if I can.

For those that don't use addons, just sort on the cost and scroll down. But then again, those without addons shouldn't complain if they get ripped off. That's like playing stocks without the right tools/knowledge.

This. As long as you have a proper Addon (TradeSkillMaster ftw) it's a non issue and it makes sense when you want to buy a specific amount.

Honestly, the problem is the official UI for auctions sucking which is Blizzards fault, not the practice itself.

Yeah, it is nice when you need like 4 herbs, and not 20 or 200. Usually when I put out my mats on AH, I post about 15 singles, then stacks from 5-20, so everyone get satisfied with my merchandise! Then again, I rarely post stuff unless I got like 200-400 of them. Like ores, god damn the overflow of ores these days! 4 chars with rank 3 mines makes it flow man..

Or people with a BASIC auction house addon.

OP: Some people buy in bulk, others in very small quantities. You'd be surprised to see how much people do buy in singles, from which huge profits can be made. Plus any one using an addon to buy will often buy singles even when buying in bulk so it also INCREASES chances of a sale for sellers.

As a seller, I used to think like this. As a buyer who deals in large quantities most of the time, just buy 200, use the 1-5 you need, resell the rest on reset day for a profit.

Is there better options to buying singles than Auctioneer spam clicking? Can't recall what I press, as it is in my fingers after many years of service, but I do know I have to click every single one, even though I just spam the whole page and buy it all in no time.
What I am after is something where I just type in how many I want of some kind of resource, then it buys it. Like for instance; 200 Raw Beast Hide, and it buys 200 from singles, 20 stacks etc, as long as it is the cheapest.

The API requires a hardware event for every single auction purchase. So, no, there is no "better option."

The (main) problem is that the API does NOT require a hardware event for every single auction posted, and the mobile client makes this shitty on a grand scale.

I always put stacks of 200. But always more expensive than the smaller stacks. Mwhahaha!

Long ass refresh time since it only loads 50 at a time and takes 30 seconds to refresh.

This is especially worse on a high pop server. I play on Stormrage, and if I buy herbs, even using Auctionator, it often has to rescan every 10-15 clicks for some reason. I have had better luck with TSM shopping module, but even than it still requires a pause (although alot short) when trying to click through 200 single herbs.

Get TSM mailing one, it opens the mail, and once its empty a "reload ui" button pops up. Clicking it reloads the UI, which fills the mailbox again.

Or, just make a macro "/reload ui".

The problem with AH addons is, at least with mine, sometimes it has to rescan while in the middle of buying all the 1's.
