    Pirate Bay back online.

So 2 months after being raided, and after three of the founders got prison sentences, the Pirate Bay is back online. It seems they werent kidding about being a hydra. I wonder if police are going to finally just give up, or if another raid is already getting ready.

    Lazy so using google translate.
I wish I had better news. The launch takes place February 1st is not ours. It was a dickhead decided to remove The Pirate Bay crew out of the picture. He believes that a site can be managed without staff while keeping track of the copies, internal affairs and so on, saying "WTC-SWE", which will be one of the senior administrators, to TorrentFreak.
The trackers seems like crap too, lots of shit I couldnt find.
Well the sites own tracker is actually not online yet so that explains a bit for the moment.

But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.

Ohh, interesting. I didn't see that on the article I read. Seems like the old pirate bay crew who managed to not get arrested will be starting a different site. Are these sites really that lucrative, or do they honestly believe the political agenda they sometimes go on about?

I realize they make money, but considering the amount of time in prison the three arrested folks got I'm just curious how much it actually is. They aren't exactly anonymous people running it.

Maybe it is. I guess it kind of felt different for me becuse in my social environment, more and more people seem to have gravitated away from it and actually buy their stuff.

Depends on where the adds company run its operations from. Might be some caribean island whatever, got no idea.

Many websites - including those offering pirated content - will use syndication networks to place advertisements on their pages.

Brands use the syndication networks like a wholesaler, and so may not be clear what sites their advert will eventually appear on.
Guess I have to look up what syndication networks are now.

The shift you feel are most likely due to streaming services and that is a good thing but as long as they within their deals on what to show demand exclusivity there will always be a need to download the stuff your provider wont stream cos of the above reason.
Netflix, Spotity etc all struggle with that very issue.
