UH DK problems

Hi all,

I have recently started playing Unholy (Amenaphís) and can't seem to come to grasps with it,
I know that I am under performing by quite alot, i don't know whether it is rotation, spacial awareness etc.

Here are the logs from one of our guild raids, if anyone could give me some pointers i would greatly appreciate it,
I have been on icy-veins, elitest jerks and such sites to check out rotations/macros but nothing seems to help,
hopefully somebody here can shed some light for me.

Your using Necrotic Plague with Plague leech & spamming blood boil/plague strike/death & decay in single target fights for starters

@685 your miles below what you should be doing (15-20k lower on iron maidens)

Foxes I actually realised that just after i posted this thread and then posted one in the sticky.

Brady84 I have changed that now but have you got any suggestions on a rotation for single target DPS?

Gruul fight,

You bloodboiled single target, you shouldn't bloodboil unless there's 4+ targets.
You should run breath of sind/plague leech single target.
Could do alot better on soul reaper, never DnD ST

Thanks mate, I'm now using BoS, had a 5minute run at a target dummy, not using blood boil, and using scourge strike more and it seems to have increased my dps, running a steady 30k unbuffed. Still think it may be slightly underperforming considering my gear, but I will have a look at that link, thanks

Scrotles you are an arrogant fool, try reading my first post, I have recently started using Uh, I was previously frost, I'd be surprised if anybody would want you've a guild with your attitude.

Edit: your frost parses are garbage. I get Scrotles had no reason to mock you but calling him an "arrogant fool" after playing frost (poorly) for so much of brf is like the pot calling the kettel black.

Also maybe he didn't read your first post because its in the wrong thread.

Actually if you look at the logs UH is better but not by a huge amount.
The fact that he was arrogant in his comment entitles me to point it out,
Also he should have more common sense than to comment on something without reading it first.
If he had have read it he would know I posted this then immediately posted in the sticky when i saw it.

So in saying that I was well within my rights.

Lastly, anybody who plays a particular specc plays it because it is what they feel comfortable playing,
So if none of you actually have anything constructive and useful to say or add to it then don't bother saying anything at all.

beastlord : Necrotic plaque uptime : 16.8 % . seem like you losing youre Dot alot, make shure that u use festering strike to add 6sec to the duration, and try to not lost the dot to Zero, or if youre about to lost it, make shure u have unholy blight to refresh it quickly. use more festering and less blood boil, u dont realy need to blood boil other then spread youre dot. use more soul reaper on beastpack to increase rune regen.

i check most of youre log, low uptime on Necrotic plague and low use of soul reaper, have to work beter on these 2

No need to be hostile for absolutely no reason. These sorta threads happen now and then, if a mod see's it they can merge it but otherwise just be a person with common decency and help em out.

Switching to Unholy was a good idea, because honestly there's no reason to be playing Frost as it currently is.

Just from a quick look as Heinouka said you have rather low NP uptime (it should realistically be almost 100% on say Gruul and otherwise above 95%), and could probably pump out more SR's.
Specifically for Iron Maidens you BB'd the whole time. You only want to be with 3+ targets, and seeing as one boss runs away now and then there should have been gaps where you went from BB spamming (while also keeping NP up) to single target rotation. Def check out Skull's guide on summonstone, has some good info and WA's in it.

Frost used to be good and its what i became comfortable playing, I decided to bite the bullet and switch to UH.
I'm now using Plague Leech and Breath of Sindragosa, seems to have inrease by dps from far below 30k to about 33-34K
it will take some time to improve it and get used to the rotation but and improvement is an improvement
