God damn companies should chill with their ports and make actual new games.

Capcapom is finally becoming a good company again. No more "japanese games are dead we need the western audienceeeeeeeeee"
"I was a normal baby for 30 seconds, then ninjas stole my mamma" - Deadpool
"so what do we do?" "well jack, you stand there and say 'gee rocket raccoon I'm so glad you brought that Unfeasibly large cannon with you..' and i go like this BRAKKA BRAKKA BRAKKA" - Rocket Raccoon

There's some great stories about that from japanese devs. Lots of stuff about companies like MS and EA buying western journos to push a 'japanese games are no longer good' narrative around 2008 to send their industry into a panic to hold back the competition right when western companies like EA were making the transition from movie tie in games to original IP's.
Its always been hearsay and rumour but the one people always remember is the talk about inafune being wined and dined to push the message with promises of a job waiting in the west. While he had influence at Capcom it went to shit worse than it ever did or would again and when he left they started to lose the 'wider appeal for westerners' exclusive mindset meanwhile we all know what happened to Inafune in the west.
Could all be bullshit but with the shit you hear about game devs behind the scenes you never know. It seems like an industry built on threats and back stabbing.

Funny story about furries in the basement. I rent a basement apartment and have been since 2003. One woman I worked with bought a fursuit and needed a place to store it for a couple nights. I threw it on the dining room table and left it there until she came and picked it up. My cousin saw it, took pictures and posted them on Facebook for all to see.
I still get called a basement furfag on occasion.
