It took a perfectly fine cel shaded art style -that pre release had everyone screeching 'celda is going to kill nintendo!'- and ended up being one of the few iconic art styles that stuck through multiple games. Its clever, it uses the illusion of light and colour to create depth even without solid lines.



Meanwhile WWHD looks like bloody pokemon GO with textures pasted on a flat model.

Ah man I remember that. Every gaming magazine I read had pages of complaints about the cell shading look for wind waker and how they should have used the graphic style of that weird link vs gannondorf short video that floated around the internet.

If they do a Switch 2 or w/e then 2 things.

1. Increase the RAM to 8GB.

2. Increase the storage or use a different storage system at the cost of a bit of a bulkier system. 32GB in 2018 is pitiful.

New gen I could see 8-12 gb. 1080p screen.
128gb ssd with expandable storage.
1-1.5tflop gpu.
Cpu closer to xbox one/ps4 but probably not as good.

The boded will not happen unless you want the system to be as thick as a brick. Hell The Switch is already a underclocked Terga chip, the "pro" would just be that at normal speeds.

Probably not, but anything short of that wouldnt seem like a next gen switch to me.

Hell a Ram Upgrade,Storage Upgrade and the CPU clock being at normal speeds would be a big jump from what we have now.

Example: The XboxOne X should have honestly been called XboxOne(2) because of how big of a difference it was in the hardware to the original.

The same would apply to a Switch Pro if they went from 4GB to 8GB and the clock speed of the CPU being at normal speeds undocked.

I do expect Nintendo to release a "New" Switch at some point. I only expect a Ram boost,Storage and a slightly higher but not normal clock speed out of the system.

Its very low watt as it is, trying to keep another more power system at such low watts will be a massive pain if not impossible.

Idk why, but I dont think they would go to 8gb. Feeling like they would just bump it to 6 for some reason. Probably 64gb storage, and maybe a 10-30% cpu clock speed boost.

Wonder if they would make that 299 and drop the OG Switch to 199 or 249?

I do agree the Xbox One X could have been a next gen system, but its cpu is way too weak for that. Xbox one X with a better cpu, sure. Im pretty excited for Next gen though, with the rumored Ryzen cpus.

Smash Ultimate's reviews are going up. As of this writing, the game has a Metacritic score of 93.

For comparison, other Metacritic scores for the series are 79 (64), 92 (Melee), 93 (Brawl), 85 (3DS), 92 (Wii U).
