Japan to get 2DS bundles for the RGBY VC release for the 20th anniversary.

There are four different colored 2DS systems, one for each version and the blue one being exclusive to Pokemon Centers, with a corresponding HOME Screen theme and 1 version.

Alongside that, there will be codes for Mew for the Gen 1 VC releases and an event for Mew for gen 6. Confirmed for Japan for now.

Finally, a N3DS shell with the original sprites for the original 151 Pokemon.

I get that they sell more merch and have all the stores dedicated to Pokemon in Japan, but seriously the main series game sales can't be that much higher in Japan than the US for example.

one of the reasons they have so many events is that japanese people really love events for some reason. the mew event is considered by nintendo to be one of the reasons pokemon didnt fail, the idea there was something you could only get via an event captured the hearts of the little japanese kids.

doesnt really explain why they dont give them to us though, racisms maybe "filthy gaijins dont need no pokemans!"

I just heard that the soon to be released Eshop versions of Red,Blue,Yellow and Green are going to cost $9,99. Seems quite expensive to me for 20 year old games.
