I can't take this anymore. I haven't slept in days. My neighbor has a dog that's one of those small yappy dogs. It. does. NOT. FUCKING. STOP. It's so goddamn loud I can hear across the damn complex. Tried knocking on their door this morning and despite hearing talking, they did not answer. My anxiety is constantly at maximum because I can't stop hearing that shit.
Smoke is better today, thankfully

Serious question. Do any of you all miss the internet that it was like 8-15 years ago.
To me it feels like it was still within the time I was acting like a child (and was a child...) and a dick on this site, but it also broadened my horizon so much that I saw insane videos, clips, images etc. I honestly think it thought me a big part of why I value this space, even though I don't fully understand it currently. I understand why and how mechanics of computer/internet functions, I understand how and why tiktok/insta functions. I understand the value of "the algorithm" but I don't really care about it.
I do miss the era of internet that was about 15 years ago. But I really enjoy the ease of access things are now, it really is easy.....

I think it's a matter of perspective, for reasons you point out. When you're younger, you kind of fall into that more toxic crowd. Now that I'm older, I dump groups/servers with no question if I feel like they can't maintain some level of maturity. My ignore lists on other sites are massive, don't care one bit. I do miss some individual connections back then though. Met someone on a website called letssingit.com, a big music site with a big forum. Always wonder where they are and if they're doing ok.
