Turns out I've had a Hulu subscription that I never activated until now, and here I was pouting that Netflix deliberately delayed (as they usually do) putting the stuff I want to see into stock as DVD (let alone instant watch) as soon as they released. I'm a happy man!

Still, how did I not know? *Scratches head*

Netflix does that because they actually negotiate holds with the companies to boost DVD sales. If it was available day one, there are a number of people that would Netflix it rather than buy it, so companies pay for Netflix to delay.
