That series looks really interesting. I remember hearing about it, but reading more about the premise makes me curious. Call me morbid, but death themes often fascinate me. I just hope it nails it better than Shigofumi did.

Death Parade is great. There are a few particular scenes/musical scores that are highly memorable (fans will know exactly which one I'm referring to). I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a series.

genshiken nidaime 04 - oh my fucking god. ogiue cosplaying as azusa is the greatest thing ever. this season is pretty good just for the fact that the anime references are more modern and i can actually understand them now.

Shigofumi was fantastic. Admittedly the later episodes aren't as good as the beginning ones, but it was still great.

I know practically nothing about it other than it's an action anime. I try to avoid as much as I can about airing anime. I don't even read the synopsis. And I place no weight in hype as far as anime is concerned.

Edit: is the "void" a synonym for hell? (And I just watched episode 2; I could have just waited)

Edit 2: comments said that "Death Billiards" is the precursor to this series. Anybody seen that as well?

I watched the first 2 episodes of OPM. It wasn't really my thing. I'm more about the SoL and romcoms.

death billiards was made for some animation contest, and it ended up getting a full tv series because it was so well received. death parade is mostly episodic, so death billiards is basically like any other episode in the show. though i'd consider it to be one of the better episodes.

technically it actually takes place somewhere in the middle of tv series, it's not a prequel by any means.

On manga:

Really surprised Nanatsu no Taizai is second by a large margin, and also close to One Piece. That's crazy. I could see Nanatsu no Taizai being a big name for years to come, especially seeing as it is beating Shingeki no Kyojin.

Assassination Classroom is also really high. That's really cool.

Shokugeki's numbers are also great, and I see OPM got a massive boost from the anime.

It's interesting seeing Ao Haru Ride up so high, but it was a great anime.

Magi's kinda dropped, but that's expected with no anime recently.


On Light Novels:

DanMachi at 1.2m kinda hurts. I thought it would have been Oregairu at 1st (which is at 3rd with 1m). Mahouka being second at 1.1m is pretty cool. It's crazy how popular that is. S2 when.

Overlord at 927k is fucking great. So happy it got this successful. Doing even better than SAO.

NGNL feels lower than it should be.
