There it is. I am a guy who is achievement-oriented. I worked hard, studied the financial world, investing, and money. I skimped and saved. I made mistakes. I started with nothing and built it all myself. I invest capital in global marketplaces that helps keep the global economy moving.

I'm the great evil in the world. People like me are the problem. He wants to hike taxes on making money in the market to stop people like me. I'm the target. How dare I lift myself from poverty? I should blame capitalism for my problems. I should blame the rich. I should vote socialists into office. Maybe one day I'll have a decent government program that will take care of me. I can trust their promises. They won't lie to me. I don't have to try to improve myself. I should feel guilt if I am a self starter.

I'm gonna bet my accomplishments are at the very least the same as yours. Born in a small village in the mountains of the Balkans, moved across the planet, worked my way through school, studied hard, making six figures. And I actually do work, not speculating and being an economic parasite :P

I don't know about Sanders policies to judge one way or another, but I do believe in comprehensive social policies like universal access to education and healthcare. And I'm fine with tax rates needed to ensure those programs, as long as it's done right.

1. Volunteer to help out in the community. When there's an emergency, you run to them because they have their poop in a group.
2. Work hard, save money, build wealth. They are lifting themselves from poverty to middle class, or from middle class to rich.
3. They focus on trying to make things better.
4. They go the extra mile to make the workplace better, the community better, even your leisure time better.

Correct me if I'm wrong but most of these proposed tax increases on on those that are taking wealth out of the economy. Large amounts of money in a savings account are not doing anything but taking money away from those below. The bigger the inequity in wealth we have, the more difficult it becomes for those at the bottom to climb the ladder and the higher the horizon becomes that people begin to fall down. The largest amount of revenue that would be taken would be from those that aren't actually using wealth but simply hoarding it.

I wonder what other policy goals Bernie Sanders would have. I mean, if he is against fiscal responsibility, what other great evils are there.

1. Tax people for reading books. I mean, how DARE they try improve themselves? Don't they understand government programs will protect you? Why are you reading books? They might not be government approved!
2. Tax people for volunteering. Volunteering takes away GOOD government jobs. Small government is bad. We need to teach people that helping others on your own accord is bad. If you want to help someone, vote for a government program instead of getting off the couch!
3. Tax people for exercising! Why are you trying to improve yourself on your own? You should instead vote for a government program to build a public gym (that will be closed most days due to government funding issues)

These programs make just as much sense as taxing people for being fiscally responsible.

Grummgug, Bernie is trying to solve the problem of income inequality. Since the 70's, the power and pay of the average worker has gone down, while the rich people on wall street investing in businesses and those executives get richer and more powerful. All Bernie wants to do is make sure that down the line, one of these two things doesn't happen: 1) Corporations have so much influence that the regular masses cannot stop them, or 2) The masses come and put the rich's heads on pitchforks.
