Does anyone know if I can "cheat" the conquest cap by getting capped before I hand in my weekend event quest? If yes would this also work for my ashran quest that rewards conquest points?

The 500 points from the quest don't count towards the cap.

This BG quest works exactly like the Shirmish one 2 weeks ago. The 500 conquest does NOT count to your cap just like Feali said. It's an extra 500 conquest.

No. It's just the special weekend quests that go over your cap.

irrelevant. The Conquest from the weekend event doesnt interract with your cap in any way, shape, or form. Nor does it count towards your season-total earned.
