Pending Profession Changes Enchanting/Tailoring as it is what I run on most of my characters just because they are self serving and I just sell enchants/cloth items and bags and use my gold to buy class/spec appropriate crafted items at the beginning of the expansion.

Eng and either Enchanting or Tailoring, though we'll see what they do but 99.9% chance I have Eng regardless and then just have to think about the 2nd profession.

BS/mining...unless BS has nothing to do with artifact looks

  4. #44
Hopefully I'm not reviving a dead thread, but has anyone put more thought into this? I'm curious as to what the community thinks - or do we need more info on how professions will change in Legion?

  5. #45
They have announced some changes, mining and herbalism will have phased nodes (similar to gw2 where everyone can get the node and it has a response timer), they did not mention skinning with the new tagging system I'm not sure if it will be shared. They did mention that they want to make profession professionals stand out with cheaper recipes if you can get a recipe to the 3 star version, or it gives more. I'm thinking I'll go alchemy and herbalism, plus super easy to level in draenor.

Edit: I don't think artifact skins will come from primary professions, maybe from secondary can definatly see one tied to archeology, maybe a joke one for fishing and/or cooking. Getting the new achievments for getting all secondary and both primary professions might have either a skin or a tint. Blacksmith and inscription (maybe enchanting) might have relics though.

Enchanting/Alchemy I think. It'll allow me to drop enchanting on my Druid for herbalism, and alchemy on my dk for mining, since gathering might actually be useful in Legion.

All I've decided for now is that those are the two professions I want. I might end up with herb/alch or enchanting/smth else, but I'll have to wait until we get more profession info.

Engineer: for Rocket boosts, Goblin Glider (it's faster than Glide), Moll-E, and Jeeves.

I was saving for Scribe, in order to make my glyphs.... but since only minor glyphs exist in Legion..... I'm waiting for more info.... Basically whatever makes me the most gold early.... Then likely Enchanter later.

I have 11 classes, all professions covered already. Latest alts either have gathering or don't have professions at all. My DH will be probably profession-less as it doesn't give me any advantage. And leveling any gathering from 1 to 700 just to be able to harvest full material instead of some mere scraps or fragments isn't fun in my books.

engineering for my own personal blingtron, repair, mailbox etc and enchanting to DE all my soulbound items and whatever items I don't need. I have every profession maxed on various alts already, so I'll go with the most useful ones.

I well go with LW and Skinning. I think it fits fine with DH.

    Mining and Skinning...

    $$$$ baby!

Then switch one to Engineering once the resource well starts drying up.

Enchanting and JC more than likely. Enchanting because it saves so much gold during the expansion, and JC because i don't have it on any character yet.

Well mining is going to be like gw2, you mine it, disappears for you but I can then mine it right after, they will be phased per character. Not sure if skinning will work the same.

If the profession changes are good and it won't be at the same pace as WoD then I might get into it. Looking towards engineering and inscription though as I haven't tried them before and am curious about their benefits.
    Worgen hard, or hardly worgen?

Engineering has very good benefits for DH. Nitro boosts give even more mobility to an already ultra mobile class, Goblin Glider is Glide on steroids, the Wormhole Generators save time transporting around the world, portable mailbox and Jeeves provide extra utility and timesaving. There's other situational gadgets and who knows what will be coming but those are the highlights at least at this moment. I have Engineering on most of my characters just because of all the things I mentioned help with moving about, doing old content for whatever I'm after and just general utility and for me the most important thing, saving time.

Jewelcrafting + Enchanting (my best money makers) or Inscription + Blacksmithing (because I would have to level my scrub alt for that).

Though, Engineering looks really tempting for an already overly mobile class.

I can rule some professions out but until I see some more info on em' I can't decide.
Will BS be able to make relics? We gonna have access to ore/herbs without the respective gathering like in WoD?
I'm keen on Jewelcrafting+Enchanting but I don't want to make an alt just for mining.
-=From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind claimed your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass that you call a temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you... But I am already saved..... For the machine is immortal=-

No they said they didn't like that in the garrisons. With that said mining nodes will be phased per character so it might be cheaper sooner after the expansion. In the enchant preview they had shoulder enchants so not sure if they are taking that from inscription, they will have a special material from breaking down crafted equipment and would hope bs, engineering and inscription can make different relics (2-3 for each, some overlap).

the inscription changes the 10% damage to a cock block of a boss buffs will sell weekly. and you will be selling atleast 20 a week when mythics available. and this will last an entire expansion. and 1 for each boss. i forsee this being a huge seller in legion. pluss then theres the early expansion darkmoon cards always popular early expac and massivly powerful. wich means i will probably have to go with herbalism becuase i hate paying for materials on the ah when i can just farm them myself for free.
that being said things can still change. and the market for those kind of buffs might be oversaturated. so if not il go with enchanting because it pays its self off a 1000x over during an expansion pluss good money spinner and will always be usefull even untill the last day. and probably partner that with tailoring sell bags an cloth for £££

Yea those card are per player too, not guild wide. I would think most mythic guilds would have an official scribe (who knows maybe you if you can get the 3 star version some guilds might commission you though). I love the star rating idea, either you make more and or it takes less materials.
