So I really have to question blizzard's strategy on this.

Why do we have as fans have to search the deepest darkest parts of the intranet to see any footage that is being released in relatively small venues across the world.

Keep in mind that the deepest darkest parts of the intranet are typically reserved for child porn and snuff videos. So blizzard... are you comfortable with your product sharing space with those genres?

I mean the simple solution would be to release the same video(s) that have been shown at conventions available on your own site. Or actually create a working site for the film. You know like the things you would normally do for a film that is going to be released. Once again (I've said this time and time again) video game =/= movie and therefore the strategy should be different. In fact if they continue to play this close to their chest like they do with their games this movie will be doomed to fail simply for poor marketing tactics.

What on earth makes you think that Blizzard has ANYTHING to do with how the movie is being marketed? This is actually very standard for big movies that are almost 12 months away from release, especially ones that are extremely effects heavy. Legendary is the one calling the shots on this and to some extent, they are at the mercy of ILM, who are furiously cranking away at the orcs trying to do something awesome and special with the CGI on those.

It is very unusual to see more than a small teaser for a movie this far out from release and they are rightfully worried about making a bad impression. It's one thing to show a few thousand people a trailer once and let their memories dictate their descriptions to other people. An online trailer that showcases "i am legend" quality orcs for everyone to post detailed breakdowns of would CRUSH this movie's potential and no matter how much they improved the effects between now and June 2016, the damage would be done.

So there we go, flying is announced and available for WOD. No one who loves the game really cared yet we had to make poll after poll, all of which were 70-75% in favour of flying never coming near this game again.

They bring it in, expecting (yet resigning to) many comments and nada.

In short and to conclude (as many of us have said) flying has nothing to do with this expansion being bad. Also, flying has nothing to do with making the better. Ground mounts are where it's at. Some zones (raids in places or a dungeon) ok for flying though, ok with that but not the world.

It may not, but I am betting plenty put off pathfinder based on the % who have the chieve. My guess is the demand for them will skyrocket. Just speculation of course, no way to know till the patch anyhow.

People test this theory constantly through the history of this game and of course there is always some sort of bump, but it usually pretty small in comparison to the bump most are expecting to see out of such things. A lot of people could care less about flying in this content and if they been holding out this long since the patch dropped they are most likely not even playing the game. I am sure once we get to the next quarter numbers another million or two have simply bailed out on this expansion. Blizzard at this point simply can't get Legion out fast enough to stop the massive bleeding this expansion has caused to the game as a whole.

I am sure a few of you will happen to cash in on the few remaining hold outs that simply were hell bent on hold out to the bitter end, but I would hardly look forward to some sort of windfall in gold.

I doubt that Blizzard has the amount of control over this movie that you might think they have over it. They give the rights and provide some technical and creative input, but I doubt they have the amount of control of what gets released to the public.

No it won't because the audience is not the same as it is in 2006 anymore. Back then I would agree it could have a large impact on the game, this won't do much. It will bring a 250k of extra subs at best.

So blizzard fucked up ROYALLY on Assram. Does blizzard fix the problem, NOPE! Does blizzard decide to make the best of situation and try to make Assram as painless as possible. NOPE. Instead they completely lay the blame on the players and as such penalize the playerbase... Talk about telling your customers to FUCK OFF!

People were entering and leaving because they did not want to sit for hours literally HOURS! being camped and killed. So what does blizzard do, THEY PENALIZE the player again.

It truly is amazing to see how well Diablo III has improved over the last couple years while WoW seems to nose dive. Latest D3 patch is lots of fun , game gets better with each season/patch

You're kidding right? D3 went back to some of Jay Wilson's bullshit, and made his ideas 1000 times worse (Demon Hunter/Barbs or fuck off, Jailers do damage, old sets like Zunimassa are garbage, etc). Seasons are a joke, and die within a week or two before they officially die.
