    Dilema between 2 videocards

    Hello here
I`m going to change my GPU because 1GB VRAM is just only for watching youtobe these days
At this point i aim in to 2 videocards and i cant make a choice
    The fight is between
    SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 280 3GB GDDR5 OC WITH BOOST and SAPPHIRE NITRO R7 370 4G GD5 L
My CPU is FX4350 running under 8GB 1600MhzDDR3 and Power spuply is 550W and Screen is 1980x1080 VGA port
Just cant decide wich of 2 is beter option because prices are almost equal (difference is around 5Euro) r9 running under 384bit but r7 is new generation and have lower power consumation which will give me a option for beter CPU/MB upgrades in near future
I also using Win 7 so i dont really care about DX12 but both cards support it anyway

If they're the same price, there's really no contest. The R9 280 completely beasts the R7 370. They both use GPUs from the HD 7000 series, so one really isn't much newer than the other at all. If you have a decent 550W power supply, you won't be limited by power when you upgrade your CPU in the future.
    Super casual.

    Get the r9 280.

But which PSU do you have?

Is this new cause i don't see how you could find an R9 280 atm as cheap as an R7 370. My guess you debating r9 280 2nd hand or new r7 370?

Your 550w power supply is enough to power either of those unless its a really crap one and it outputs 400w, so the r9 280 wil be close to that.

Nope the card cost 180EU brand new maybe the r7 one is too expensive
Thats why i start to wonder the price looks too low for the card specifications
PSU is called "Power Box"" i have no idea how good that mark is but i have been adviced from the guys in the same shop if i go there and they tell me that this PSU aint good i will return it back

The brand of the psu is "power box"? Never heard of that and googling doesn't give much info, which is usually a very bad thing
After some digging around on some webshops in Sofia, best match from what you describe is at Stealtech, Sapphire R9 280 and r7 370 within 5leva Dunno how much the budget for the gpu since you didn't mention one, but if you check on that site there is an r9 380 4gb for 420leva which is new gen card. The r7 370 has pretty low performance and can't even play some new games at all. I also found the gigabyte r9 380 2gb at 405lev at nikemnet and Sky.

Budged isnt a roblem.Just dont want to buy brand new computer to support any VGA from High class just waiting new year generations to build DDR4 based computer so i aimed in Middle class ones to fix current one for several months but there is so much cards around which makes the choice abit not possible lol the topic is between these 2 but there are dosens ones in the +/- 30EU range and we do not count Nvidia ones

Nope checked the box and its written with prety much big letters "Power box" the funny thing here is not that i cant find anything in google but also i do not see something like that im shop site where i bough from.Anyway that isnt a big problem 550W PSU`s from most known brands arent expensive but most likely will throw this one on the head of dude who sayed that is good one if i go there and buy a VGA and he say that have to replace it

P.S. I found the PSU brand
http://pcplus.bg/GOLDEN-FIELD-ATX-550W-Black%20Nickel When i buy it i do not ask about price but that what i see makes me nervious

    Atm mid tier cards are gtx960,r9 380, gtx 970, r9 390.
R9 380>gtx960 are on the low end of mid tier with r9 390>gtx970 on the high limit. An r7 370 is low tier, as i said it can't even run some AAA titles at all. IF you want cheap but decent gaming card atm go with r9 380. If you can find the 4gb version instead of 2gb, even better but don't pay alot for that difference.

just saw your edit about the psu. So its how i though it might be, its sub standard. 75% efficiency is too low, less than the minimum 80+ bronze you should be looking. I can't make out the amps on that sticky on the side but if i have to guess @ 12v rail it has less than 40amps. As an example the usually cheap xfx ts 550w has 44amps@12V rail. So that 44x12=528watts plus a little more fro +3v and +5v brings it close to its 550w advertisement. If yours has say 35A @12v that makes it 420-450w in reality, not 550w.
