Interesting it's since 911, why not include 911 (because they are manipulating the numbers), almost all acts of terrorism in this world the last 50 years are by Muslim's, that's not including many of the worlds wars, persecutions (Christian's being the highest persecuted group in the world by far) and massacres (especially of their own kind).

Also radical Muslim's are far right so it's a moot point.

Why stop at 9/11 then? Why not add the half a million or so deaths caused by the right wing terrorists that went by the name "confederates" in the Civil War?

Well if the confederates were terrorists then why don't we also look into the left wing "terrorists" in the Soviet Union and China that together have killed far more people than any right wing group including the Nazi's could ever hope for.

I'm pretty sure left wingers has killed more US citizens than muslims too. The same goes for Christians, ethnic and other political groups.

How far do you want to go back though? It's also pretty stark, the difference between the 20 attacks carried out by Islamist groups, Vs the 337 attacks by Right Wing extremists. Are the Right Wing simply considered less bad because they're less successful? And that lack of success makes them 'less scary'? In terms of stats and raw maths, you're taking one massive outlier, basing the whole thing on body count, and drawing your conclusions that.

Well I'm not sure if I followed the correct bread crumb trail or not on the internet but it seems some of the deaths are being attributed to various soveriegn citizen movements, that were a bit closer to 1 or 2 dumbasses killed somebody, and just so happened to be linked to said movements, rather then they went out to kill somebody in the name of them. The only reason I went on to read about the sovereign citizen movement aspect of it, is that it is far from a traditional white right wing only thing.

You don't know much about the civil war.

The entire topic was on terrorism that affected the U.S.. But go ahead, I wasn't defending them.

pretty sure the usual narrative is there are tons of Muslim extremists running around here.

You can. The point has been made that we need to draw a line. The article doesn't hide the ball it clearly states after 9/11, the period where all the anti-terrorism hysteria has been in effect.

They would go "Why aren't they including the largest attack ever?" and then dismiss it outright, as they should.

This line of argumentation does literally nothing to solve the problem of racism and prejudice, and only serves as self-masturbatory fodder for those spewing it.
Echo chamber argumentation is really not constructive you speak the truth.

No guys, lets take the OP's bait.

Between the two groups, islamic extremism accounts for 17% of the reported fatalities vs 83% for right-wing extremism.
Between the two groups of people who identify as muslim or very conservative, muslims are 6% of the population sample vs 94% for people who identify as very conservative (not as granular as I would like to get, but being broad here is doing a service to the muslim extremists)

OP, do you see where I'm going with this?

Edit: not to mention, according to the numbers in the report, an attack perpetrated by a muslim extremist is almost 3.5x more likely to result in a fatality than a right-wing extremist attack, which is potentially indicative that right-wing extremists are more likely to target property rather than life.

Not getting rid of it, no, unless you go as far right as possible - anarchy.

Libertarians want a smaller federal government. And more middle of the road 'Republicans' are confused about what they want. On one hand they want to lower taxes and all these 'conservative' values... but then they want to impose stuff like telling women they can't get abortions because some people believe it's wrong and they don't want to allow gays to marry.

So which is it? Do they want small government or not? Like I said, confused. lol

How do you paint people defending their own lands as terrorists?

The IRA were Muslims? The UVF as well? And ETA?

I don't think you thought that through very well. Or at all.

I don't think using a contrast of muslim vs right-wing is a good one since muslim terrorists are going to be right-wing extremists. What the person who wrote that wants to say is homegrown, or maybe even 'white'. If they're native then of course you'd expect more because of higher population and more ways of contacting others. Yet the proportions seem to be way off given what Slaskra said.

Again, people mostly care about cross cultural terrorism. So if a Western Christian goes to Saudi Arabia and blows up a bunch of Saudi Muslims, it would be more of an issue.
