Im not kinda legitimately in fear of my life. I wake up, make my coffee, go to work, drive home and make dinner, spend time with my family and then go to bed. Nothing to fear.

Now if im a cop, I wake up, make my coffee, get called into potentially dangerous situations and see a criminal coming at me with what looks like a weapon, im going to shoot him.

And then you have some people who feel the apparently danger and fear of something six states away.

Well working on a military base helps a lot with that. Also if im going to get shot, theres probably not much I can do. I keep my doors locked and have a gun at home. Not much more I can do.

Well yea but im talking about cops and their justification of shooting. Depending on what the event is, if you fear something 6 states away, you are stupid. Unless theres a chance of it happening near you. I live 45 minutes from balitmore. When the riots were going on, I made sure my gun was clean and the shells were accessible. I wasn't really afraid that anything was going to happen but I was making sure I was ready in case it did. Now if I sat on my chair, facing the door with 12 gauge in hand just waiting for something to happen, that's stupid.

Are you saying it is up to OFFICERS OF THE LAW to decide the extent and punishment of citizens?

Keep in mind, violent offenders are still citizens of the United States and still have certain rights under the law. Not to mention that in the US, we have deemed the courts of law as responsible for passing judgement and punishment on citizens. Not the officers of the law.

No matter one's station, disposition or potential crime- all citizens of the United States are entitled to not be brutalized or murdered.

Personal sympathy is not required and frankly intellectually insulting to offer. The ladder of law has no top or bottom.

Do you think it is okay for criminals to attack OFFICERS OF THE LAW?

Who are you going to call next time you need help when a criminal is attacking you, your sister, your mother? a drug pusher? A gang member? A murdered? A rapist? Or are you going to call an OFFICER OF THE LAW?
Bottom line.. ALL Criminals are criminals. Not all OFFICERS OF THE LAW are criminals.

I mean the earth is what, 4.5 billion years old, human genus for a few million, the universe for like 13 billion and there's what 300 billion stars in the milky way and over 100 billion galaxies in the universe. Human/earth life is insignificant, not even enough to be a statistical anomaly.
