It is what people make of it. An institution can give access to the techniques and access to labs, and teach you in class. But if in the end you are not able or willing to make an abstract application of the skills to the real world then I could argue that it was not higher education that failed, but home and high school.

I have checked them but what they provide is a good structure to learn what can be put in a file. Since they cannot provide with relevant real world examples or with a network of future colleagues and partners, then I would advise to look for real life experience instead.What are your thoughts of MOOC's and their coursework?
