Muslims basically created much of the desert by burning everything to the ground. At least when the Roman Empire ruled over north Africa they seeded olive trees next to all the main roads, that made the soil more fertile. Which made it possible to actually grow things. Then the muslims came and burned everything down, which created the barren wasteland we know today.

So yeah, that's what happened in north Africa. I'm not sure about the rest of the muslim world, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it happened in more places.

Drinking camel urine is an often practice in the Muslim countries, and even recommended by the Quran. Saudi authorities shut down the shop when it turned out that the seller was pouring his own bodily waste into the bottles.

This is the first time i ever hear about this, so even if its kinda true its definitely not something used in most Muslim countries. And it's absolutely not "recommended by the Quran".
