Personally I'm hoping he wins the nomination and chooses Cruz as his VP. That would guarantee the senate for democrats and give a decent chance of flipping the house despite all the gerrymandering the republicans have done.

The Left is just so sure they are the intellectual and moral elite and that any win for the conservatives is a failure of democracy, or just "dumb people".
generally speaking the left is much less capable of understanding anyone else's motivations, It makes them kinda annoying to debate with, as they presume malice when its just a difference of opinion.

    Both parties gerrymander.

In the past yes. But the extent to which republicans have taken it is a whole other level. Here is a typical example - Pennsylvania : Democrats won the popular vote by 5% but republicans got 13 congressional seats while the democrats got 5.

It is this extreme level of gerrymandering that is creating push back via anti-gerrymandering ballot initiatives. Hopefully we will see lots more of them.

Thats sadly just not true. Women are more conservative then white males on average first off. Poor/middle class women independant of skin color are the bulk of conservative vote in pretty much every western country. You ever seen a pro life rally? Its mostly women. Why? Because women are like that. Check one of Trump rally, tell me its just white male lol.

Gerrymandering isn't solely about party vs. party either. When Florida voters passed Fair Districting as a constitutional amendment they waited until the last possible moment to release the new potential maps which put challengers in the extreme disadvantage of not knowing where they were supposed to be running/campaigning.

Somehow we've hit this point where the left is seen as a bunch of PC socialists who just want to take away your freedoms, and the right is seen as racist old white guys with guns who want to whitewash the country.

I can't help but think most of us are somewhere in the middle of the loud and crazy ends of the spectrum we are presented in both traditional and social media, but that those sane of us are just presented with the image of "the other side" being irrational nut cases and so we fall into the trap.

I still hope Bernie wins and it looks more likely that he does than ever.

The election is in November. The people involved in the process now are mostly party activists, or activists of some other kind. The overwhelming majority of voters are more concerned about their daily lives than whether Ted Cruz thinks Obama is a pussy, or if Trump thinks Jeb is a loser.

Sure it helps against them also, but if you would read and watch shows about the US Border Patrol you know their main issue are drug/weapon smugglers, ones that return fire against the Border Patrol and that contributes to to american deaths!
I listen to all things being said, if they interest me ....I do not particularly care where they come from.
A smart way of thinking is to hear all sides....filter out the garbage, investigate the concepts you have not heard before.
The Big Think brings all kinds of voices to the channel....for just that reason.

Saying Trump is wrong in regards the wall between US and Mexico because Regan wasn't ok with the Berlin Wall is beyong mind logic olympics. Just how's Jesse's knowledge is on pair with a kingergarten. "Hurr durr, wall? Pff Berlin Wall was bad, pff build a Wall between US and Canada also! Hurr durr Wall!"

I do like to hear both sides but the video you linked insults my intelligence and adds nothing.

The democrats no longer have a governing coalition. That much is clear. They cannot govern because they cannot win congress. If the republicans pick the person who can win the white house, they can actually build a governing coalition around that person. That's the difference.

The biggest mistake the democrats made was failing to enact some kind of gerrymandering reform in 2009 or 2010 when they had both houses of congress. They must have made a miscalculation and thought they could hold congress. They may never get another chance now.

That said, I do believe Bernie Sanders is the next president. I think he will overtake Hillary in the delegate count. That's where the real fight is. The republican will have turnout problems because republicans are not desperate in 2016. Republicans believe they will keep congress so its not critical to win the white house in 2016.

TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

Anyone who thinks that Trump is at all popular outside the Republican echo chamber is delusional.

And the rating gets worse, not better, as people listen to Trump more.

I think so too. Bernies message is clearly resonating with voters, particularly independents which for both parties is the group you need to get to win in 2016. Unlike Trump and cruz his message brings moderates to him instead of pushing them away.
