    Trigger posts

    Can we make it a rule that any trigger/outrage posting aka posts that do nothing but incite arguments and flame wars, be banned. There seems to be one or two users in particular who post outrage threads and 99% of the time they just get moderated and locked because of flaming and well, repetitive posting by the same users with the same types of subjects (some of which are against the new Gen OT rules) don't wind up with the original posters getting infractions for breaking said rules while other people get infracted because the threads just start flame wars.

    Trigger =/= Bait

    You should use the correct terminology or outrage may occur.

    You corrected the OP in something so simple. Triggered. Ban this <insert non-triggering entity>!

    But no seriously, you're right. Something that "triggers" someone shouldn't be banned just because, else we wouldn't have a forum any more. Bait topics, of course, should be.

    I think a better solution would just be to ban the small handful of regular offenders.

    There are certainly a handful of people that shouldn't be able to create posts anymore.

    What's keeping you from using the various other political forums out there? Why does it NEED to be on a site focussed around fantasy MMOs?
    Take a break from politics once in awhile, it's good for you.

    Your inability to discern the difference between trigger and bait triggers me.

    At the moment GenOT has enough rules and banned topics.

    Report the thread(s) and we'll evaluate and deal with them.
