I have tried only Blacksmithing on 2 different realms and made tons of gold from it, mostly from selling Weapons and some Armor. But never seen ppl talking about that Blacksmithing is good for gold.

I understand that some ppl prefer Grinding mobs/Raids/Dungeons over making gold with Auction. And some ppl have 11 100lvls with Garrions and alot treasure hunter followers, but i personally have only 3 100lvls, and 1 of them on different realm. Some say that professions is bad for gold now, but still i making more gold with Blacksmithing than with 1-2 garrisons (depents on realm i guess , my realm is like 7th highest populated on EU)

p.s. dont move this thread to Professions sub-forum please, because General Discussion sub forum much more active and this is poll

Hmm... Specc Garrison Master. Have a Garrison on max level on each alt, can profit fine on a casual basis, hehe. (Earning about 50-200k pr. week).

Though, Engineering doesn't seem to be that much of a profit, gliders is main income.

P.s. This thread should be in profession sub forum, it's about professions.

No, it is happening. The zone changed, it belongs to the Goblins now and is their home. Hearthstone is having a mechanical themed expansion soon, November's cardback is Goblin influenced and revealed concept art shows Goblin machinery. It's a HS expansion, sorry.

I have 1 garrison with alot treasure hunters, 3lvl inn and 25followers 675/675 followers but didnt knew that 11 garrisons can make that much gold. Thanks for tip

as for sub forum ,profession sub forum got only about 30viewers on average and General Discussion sub forum got about 600 viewers on average, and i wanted to create poll and this sub forum is a bit dead for poll, shame that thread got moved. Last poll about professions stayed in General Discussion

Inscription and enchanting for me. Mostly glyphs, but also upgrade items.
When it comes to enchanting it's just selling low level materials though.

What is the purpose of this thread so late in WoD, with less players, various realm populations and markets? Useless.

Upgrade items are selling very well, as well as the conquest/honor tokens etc.

I don't know. I believe it depends entirely on your server, type and population. I certainly don't think there's any one answer that covers everything. Whatever you pick be sure it's something you more or less enjoy or can tolerate grinding. There's nothing worse than being stuck with a profession just to grind gold and have it end up being something that is even more deadly dull than other professions or something you really don't like to do. They you won't make any gold at all.

I'm still doing pretty well with tailoring (bags) and enchanting. I wonder if blacksmithing will see a nice bump once the new xmog system goes live.

Conquest/Honor Tokens are not profession made. Upgrade items are, but 1. you're not answering the question, 2. i'll answer it for you: ALL upgrades sell well. So why search which profession (maybe except engineering) makes best gold so late?

We'll, glad to see not many people going AH way. I currently make most of my gold selling on AH. I make good money with LW, but it depends on realm prices. About 5.000 gold every day just from min-maxing profession's with work orders etc. Having all proffesions and just making the 640 items, and say the alchemy boe trinket.

I sell so much weird shit with LW, but it just sells...especially the rare leg enchants ppl use on heirlooms etc. mats is like 40-50g....I often sell them 1k or more, and when price goes low to like 500g cause under-cut its still good.

How so? Can assume you are selling something else than WOD enchants. So twink's / lvleres ? Cause WOD enchants are like 200g profit at most for non-weapon once on most servers I guess.

With how easily materials are obtainable in WoD "profit" is a bit shaky word to use. The reason why it IS that low is mostly because if you aren't hell bent on dominating a market chances are you have enough materials from Trading Post to rarely have buy them from AH.

yea, mats are free for me as well, but I do really only make 1 scroll a day, and sell it for like 300-400g. only making the most valueable/popular scroll at that time...have on 1 each enchant and auctionator tooltip thing is nice.

Just dont see the money in that proffesion. On other hand I make good money with all other proffesions, especially LW cause I also maaax it, got all recipes in-game nearly, so its easy to make stuff like cobra hat for transmog, or wierd enchants like +24 stam on gloves. but yea, depends on realm price.

Voted First Aid, because the poll is noobish. The answer is "it depends" and that's not me nitpicking, it really depends.

  19. #19
It depends on region and server. Iv been playing with almost all professions and best combination for me is Enchanting / Jewelcrafting. There are always in demands and they have things that sell for nice cash. Was not let down in a single expansion.
