The funny thing about Hendrix's version of Dylan is that the person who also said they thought it was better's opinion matters extraordinarily more than any of ours. That person? Bob Dylan.

The first one that came to mid for me was Seether. But really, the only covers I have a tendency NOT to like are anytime someone tries to cover a classic Beatles song. Nine times out of ten (at least), they just do it all wrong and it just ends up being awful.

Prefer Imagine Dragons version. Lindsey is good for the strings in it, but the chorus in the chorus sounds like something that came out of Glee.

That's like bringing a gun to a knife fight.

How about you compare the cover to the track it's actually covering?

I believe only covers that do it "differently" can ever surpass the original. Although it's ultimately subjective.
    Here is an example:

Ah I didn't post them originally i was just letting the fellow know that the same "group" more or less did both versions.

I will add a Cover of a song I like though.

Cash did some great covers back then.

My personal favourite was a Nick Cave cover "Mercy Seat"

My two favourites this year have been these 2.
