    New PC

Hello all, newbie here looking into building my first pc. I've always played wow on a laptop and am not very savy with the computer lingo. I'm looking to build a pc for wow as that's all I honestly play and maybe the new battlefield in a few months. My budget would be 1000-1200 usd, I'm also based in the usa.

Gtx 1060 comes out today so keep an eye out, some may be overpriced i wouldnt pay more than 270 for one depending on the benchmarks. This would be able to pretty much destroy legion on ultra with 4x AA.

There's some Gigabyte and MSI 1060s on Amazon priced at $320 and $350. I can't see them being that cheap for a while.

Videocard is a placeholder, you should be able to get custom RX 480 or GTX 1060 for the similar price in 2-3 weeks. If you cant wait reference RX 480 is the best in this price range now. You can get Windows for ~$25 at Kinguin.

Custom designs wont be sold for at least a week, Nvidia needs time for Founders Editions to sell.

I'm not sure that makes much of a difference. Sellers around the EU have started listing them (customs) and they all seem to have them priced similarly. I mean so far we've seen Germany, Spain, Italy, and Poland don't have any listed for under €350. The Zotac one listed from a UK seller comes in at €330.

EU isnt too relevant to me, they seem to get gouged a lot harder than here in the states. I expect premiums on day 1 of course, but i bet some cards will be able to be found for under 300 US dollars.

Thanks for all the replies, I think now I can finally start building the pc.
