Llothien Fox Mount - When did you get your Torn Invitation?

Hey folks,

I suspect that the Torn Invitation stopped dropping from Nightfallen Caches around 9/13. Lots of people you see riding around on the fox got the Torn Invitation before that date, but nobody I know or strangers I have asked in-game has gotten it since then (i.e. I see someone on the mount, I ask them when they got the quest starter item, and so far everyone has given dates in early September.) Wowhead reports of getting the quest item stopped around mid-September as well.

It wouldn't be the first time Blizzard decided something they intended to be rare wasn't rare enough and nerfed it into oblivion - I'm just starting to think it's not dropping at all. At the very least, drop % seems to have been severely lowered.

Have you gotten the Torn Invitation from a Nightfallen Emissary Cache since 9/13, which was 5 weeks ago? (Please note: I'm not talking about receiving the actual mount, which requires a number of steps including time-gated class hall missions - I'm talking about the Torn Invitation which begins the quest chain.)

I haven't gotten a Torn Invitation until earlier this week. Then I got it twice (on two different characters) on the same day.

Got it not the last time it was nightfallen quest day, but the one before that. Doesn't it also have a chance to drop from withered training chests?

Yes it can.

I got mine from a Nightfallen World Quests Emissary chest though.

Okay I feel slightly better to know that some of you are still getting it. There are literally dozens of people running around with this thing on my realm, and every single person I ask is "Yeah, it was in my first Nightfallen Cache ever, right after I dinged 110!".

I've never found anyone I personally know to find it in the Training Scenario, and it hasn't been datamined to be in those chests. All the people I have asked got it from the world quest cache.

I just have sh*t luck, which is normal and I usually deal with that in the brute force way - repeat for years until I get what I want. Yes, it took me a couple of years to get the white polar bear, which should not have taken anywhere near that long.

My boyfriend and his Dad both got theirs from the Withered Scenario thing. My boyfriend had a score of 400ish whilst his Dad had done it on a new 110 and had a score of 100 or below, so score doesn't seem to affect the drop rate of the invitation.

I'm also in the same boat as you Goblingirl, I have 5/7 of my 110s doing the Withered training whenever it is up, and 6/7 doing the Nightfallen cache when it's up and I haven't had it drop yet. My other 110 needs to get Friendly Suramar and I haven't had the time to do the quests :/

Mine dropped from the emissary quest turn in from the Nightfallen, about 3 days into the expansion.

Off the first nightfallen cache I ever got. But I didn't know what it was and didn't care to look it up until like a week later after failing a couple missions at like 98% or something.

Either it was the first training scenario I did (scored about 10 points) or first Nightfallen cache, but I remember not having enough follower item level to do the missions.

After I got exalted I stopped doing the withered scenario. The LW pattern I wanted and the fox hunt invitation didn't drop at all. I figured either the data was wrong or I had bad luck, either way forget it. If I can get it from emissary cache's then one day it will happen. Just like one day maybe a Legendary will drop for me...

Just got the fox mount today from the emissary quest (The character was ~4.5k into revered). Now to not use it, except when I'm in groups with my guildies to annoy them
