You realize losing CA and NY literally cuts your GDP. Even if you keep the military, you no longer have the money to maintain it. Thats the point without half your population, paying for your current expenditure is impossible. Hence a country liquidate assets. Hence an even bigger problem, even if you could liquidate. The new Canada couldnt pay for this right away. Neither could the European union even. Neither could China. Your military is a couple decades investments by now.

Canada is no utopia but I'd totally move there. I grew up in Alaska, I can handle the weather. Not going to pay those real estate prices in Vancouver though, that is just crazy pants.

Move to the east coast, we have crazy winters and amazing summers, it is not that cold here except for a few winter months. Most people don't know that a lot of places here have crazy long summers that get as warm as some of the more southern states.

If you actually looked at voter data, ONLY Cali and NY were states that Clinton was heaviliy voted for by a wide population. Even in those states these was over 40% that voted Trump. You think they would just stay there and live with stupidity when pretty much most manufacturing jobs would likely move to that American Heartland, especially considering that Trump's financial plans for American businesses is actually profitable for them...as evident to Wall Street showing massive upticks?
