Cooking: Rank 3 recipies?!

Im still waiting to get rank 1 recipies for 3 different foods. Feels great not being able to craft or own high end stuff because of this.

Are you sure those recipes are from Nomi? There is quite few of them that are from elsewhere, like Surf and Turf from Suramar mobs and the one you by at the inn on the beach at Suramar.

My tips are the following, make sure you have all recipes you can obtain without research, after that diversify don't drop in 50 of the same food type for example since even if you do get the recipe you might end up getting the same recipe 3 times upon opening the research after a while.

I look at what i'm missing in ranks and work from lowest to highest in food types. Getting no recipes is very frustrating and seeing how item priorities can change i rather get more recipes instead of focusing that one recipe i need.

This stupid panda just gave me the Azshari Salad recipe yesterday after giving him lean steaks this entire expansion.
The Legion cooking system is insanely retarded.

Thats because lean shanks is in the suramar surf and turf recipe, thus its part of the Azshari salad. Edit: I'm sorry, misread. You mean the rng ofc

It all makes perfectly sense tho the rng is a bit over the top Got rank 3 salad 2-3 weeks into the expac(dat gold earned) and hit 800 at the same time, but zero rank 3 375 food after that...

im at R2 w all delicacies. So at this point I am just looking at Nomi Cakes seeing whats avail to make - giving him 24 orders - and walking away for 3 days. Somehow this makes me hate the panda just a LITTLE less.

I did manage R3 Aszhari and Hungry Magister doing this. Plus I think R3 Fizz. I get MAYBE 1 R3 recipe every 8-10 days it feels like. But alas RNG is RNG.

Are you sure you're killing the right mobs? That's WAAAAAAAY beyond bad RNG, and into the realm of "you're probably doing something wrong."

For Turf, kill Heartwood Stags and Heartwood Does.

For Surf, kill the crabs around Jandvik.

You are doing something wrong. I have 4 110 who got the 2 part in less than 20 minutes each. And every single person in my guild who asked how to get it were the same.

One tip : don't know if it was fixed in 7.1, but at launch you were able to drop 2 times the same part. Preventing you to drop the other (as they are/were on the same unique2 "ID"). So if you have 2 surf or 2 turf, delete one, farm the missing one. Should drop really fast.

I get that it's Christmas and so we're not going to hear anything for at least a week anyway, but it's baffling that this has been a problem for months now and the devs have said nothing about it.

I just got my last two-star recipe earlier today, and I have I think two or three three-stars, none of which are delicacies/feasts so I'm stuck waiting for this panda who apparently forgot everything I taught him to mash ingredients together and maybe figure something out. I suppose there's always the old Cata cooking dailies, but it's pretty stupid that that's pretty much the only way to get to 800.

Simple fix: bad luck protection. Every time Nomi fucks up, increase the chance that he won't.
Better fix: scrap the system entirely. I'd gladly stomach going back to the "do dailies for currency to purchase recipes" system because it actually has an endpoint.

I don't know how is this problem for everyone. I think you are exaggerating and not having Nomi work 24/7. I completed all 375 recipes like 2 weeks ago and the way I did it was just focus on getting one recipe to 3* i.e. I want to get 375 versa? Just feed Nomi with Koi and bam after 20 work orders there it was.
Maybe you just give him a little bit of everything and creating this illusion that you placed "literally thousands" of work orders.

Agreed, if we've learned at least one thing it's that there's something worse than doing a daily knowing I've gotta do them for another 45 days to get all the receipes, and the one thing that's worse is shitty RNG with a demand for resources.

When I see "World drop" as the source of a receipe I don't think "Ooh! better get out and farm some mobs!" I think well I guess I'm never gonna get that receipe.

Same here. Doesn't matter if I aim for rank 2 or rank 3, the end result is the same. Tons of wasted ingredients and time.

And yes, I'm using the addon - doesn't change the fact that Nomi is being an asshole.

I made Level 800 by doing Stormwind cooking dailies that were introduced in Cata. But I still don't have any L3 recipes after months of trying with Nomicakes.
Same with Alchemy. Got to L800 with Prolonged power potion and DMF, still no Rank 3 flasks. I have crafted 1327 flasks in total over 1000 the Agility one.
