2016 has been pretty great for me. Job is good, family is good, home is being remodeled.

This already happened. He's been offline for weeks, his dead-man switch activated, nobody knows where he is, and the embassy is refusing to let anyone (including the swedish prosecution) see him.

This either means
- he's locked up in the embasy basement (ie, jailed)
- he's no longer in the embassy (extracted in some black ops, ie jailed)
- he decided to commit suicide using the traditional three shots to the back of his neck approach.

I suspect #3 is the accurate answer, but I also suspect the body is not at the embassy.

Interesting question. I think a major terrorist attack in the United States would pretty much cap it off as the worst ever - and I mean larger than the Paris attacks - possibly even larger than the Twin Towers. The repercussions would be horrifying.
