They'll never gather more than circumstantial evidence, and they'll never have a usable working model for gathering intel on every single human being on the planet, nor even every single US citizen which seems to be their goal. It will never be usable intel for stopping a terrorist plot, for example. Ever. There's too much noise when you're listening to 6 billion people.

I was filling my ESTA application form for visa free travel and noticed a new question that was not there last time :


So basically everyone is now asked to link his facebook profile to enter the us. It is still optional but some people are already saying it could be used as a motive to deny you entry.

I'm so tired of this mass surveillance shit. Last time I went to US as a foreign student I got a surprise TSA check that made me miss the shuttle and I had to pay 250$ for a taxi because it was a sunday evening. I talked to saudi guys on campus and basically everyone who looked/was arabic got checked when they arrived.

They won't even tell you if you got checked because you're from x country or because you googled something the NSA thoughtpolice doesn't like.


When will americans finally grow some balls and start taking actions against the butchering of privacy rights their criminal oligarchy gov is currently operating ?

You should see the form you get when you purchase a firearm.

One of the questions basically asks if you are a felon or in flight from the law.

I assume its more of a liability thing than anything else.

BUT with that said, you'd be surprised how many people answer these questions truthfully and thus get denied a gun purchase.

Criminals in general are not the brightest. (the actual NICS check should catch it anyhow, and filling out the form untruthfully is a felony in it self)

I dunno why the fuck some many people care about the governement being able to read their emails or see what they are doing on facebook, or listening to their conversations.

Really, they are welcome to pictures I sent to my console peasant friends of my PC, they are welcome to the love you messages I send my wife. I am more than happy to show them the pictures of my dogs. If they want to trace my GPS on my phone to track me daily driving to and from work so be it. And if they really want to listen to me and my wife through our smart tv talking about and planning our holiday to Disney World later this year then good for them.

I see this a lot in job applications now too, so its not just the government. Also, most of the stuff they look at is public anyways, who cares about giving away your PUBLIC PROFILE. I see it as making sure they are looking at the right person since so many people have the same names.

Before my first visit to US I was warned to never say anything even remotely looking seemingly negative about USA in my conversations with Americans. Freedom of speech does not apply to private venues.

Also there is a difference between articulating a dislike for policy and just regurgitating stuff like "grow some balls you stupid Americans".
