Mythic+ is over for my main

    Hi,

Finally after 5 months I can be a raid logger on my main. Just hit 54 traits, 900 ilvl equipped. Due to the way my gear is set up tier/leggos the only upgrades from weekly chest I could possible need is belt, braces, feet and these would have to ofc need perfect stat setup vs the 890/895 im wearing now.

its taken a long time - but happy I dont feel like I need to log in everyday and do 'stuff' and can play on my alts etc.

Any1 else feeling a sense of relief?

I'm relieved you no longer have to do optional things you felt you had to do. Good for you.

Now you have time to learn how to play! OHHH! Just kidding. Grats on finishing the grind. Now go start again on some alts

How have you only just hit 54 traits if you've been farming Mythic+?
I've done sub 50 of them, max. But noticed they give fab AP rewards per time spent, n yet I maxed AP ages ago...

  11. #11
well ive done over 200 m+ and only just hit it, i do not but you need 65m ap for 54 and +10 gives 300k so you must of done a lot of work outside of m+/raids to get 54.

Congratulations on reaching your goal - now you can finally play the game!

This is an interesting topic, though - what makes people feel like they have to log on, even if they're not enjoying the content and how can that change (as it's probably not a very healthy attitude)?

I know I've fallen into that trap in the past as well and I don't really know what changed for me but in this expansion I just don't feel compelled to grind M+ for example (which I don't enjoy), so I just don't do it. Maybe I'm just becoming a filthy casual, who knows.

I am at your position (+ bis legendaries) but its not exactly "relief". Not a big fan of M+ but I did it just because its usually the only thing to do.

With 7.1.5 clearing Normal+heroic + Mythic on EN+TOV+ NH fills most of my playtime so yeah I have come to the situation where:

    -Fuck World quests -AP,gear,anything.
-Fuck M+ spam (once a week for the chest).
-Fuck money-making ( i already have money for the whole xpac).

So now I log in to do what I like to do : RAIDING.

This will end in 7.2 but at that point I would probably be completely bored of all the raids so a change of mindset will be good.

Took you a very long time then :x. There's plenty of people who never even did more than 80 M+ overall, didn't exploit a few months back, who are 54.

World Quests can give over 1mil per day at times. I wouldn't be surprised if it averages out at about 1mil AP per day. Add your daily HC, daily PvP and LFR/Normal/Heroic clears. Then you can definitely make do with only a few M+ per week.

A lot of raiding guilds demand at least 45-54 traits in your mainspec weapon, so if you want to raid Mythic at least semi-serious, you have to do the AP grind. Or find another guild where you might not get the progress you want.

883 here, 36 nearly 37 traits, one bis legend. Started playing on this character to raid at 110 just under 5 weeks ago? but only just started with the guild 2 weeks ago. I've also done very very few mythic + I'd say maybe 12? 15?

I'm 3/4 top position on dps out of 15/16. Most people have been on their raid characters from day 1 grinding ap and have a bucket ton more traits than I do.

Not showing off, but I stay competitive, we're starting to progress nighthold heroic. cleared EN heroic, and personally I've cleared ToV heroic on this character. Exhausting yourself to hit 54 traits is un-needed unless you're going server first mythics.

But still, anyone sitting on 54 traits I think you deserve a pat on the back

If you want to raid mythic, getting 54 is not optional.

So you're don't have 925 ilvl in each slot? Pretty fucking long way to go friend.

    Of course it is.

Links to logs please. Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal. Let's have a look at how your fellow raiders are underperforming.

Also, you're starting to progress on NH Heroic. I think your frame of reference and evaluation of the necessity of 54 traits for Mythic progression isn't really that valid.

Good luck finding a decent guild then, when the majority of players and applicants have 50+ traits. There's playing Mythic and there's playing Mythic. You can definitely make do with 21 traits if killing M Skorpyron before ToS is your goal.

Imagine you're recruiting and you have to choose between John at 34 traits and Peter at 54. Both are total strangers and made a good impression in the chat you had with them. Unless Peter is significantly underperforming in the available logs, I'm likely picking him because he has shown dedication towards his character and will not be a liability when you need that extra 1% DPS to kill a boss or when you need that extra few %s of HP to survive a mechanic.

Being at sub 54 traits is all fine until you hit a wall where lack of DPS is clearly the issue, which is the large majority of progression fights.

If I thought you'd make constructive criticism instead of shoving your epeen down my throat, I'd be happy to give you them when I get in, in a few hours time. Seeing as you've already taken a verbal shit on me for giving an opinion and from the sounds of it, going to get a cheap giggle from my team. You can take a flying fuck I could add I know people progressing in mythic without full traits, but you'd also want evidence of that I suppose?

    I love the attitude though

YOU'VE NOT DONE IT YET YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT <insert filthy casual comment>
