Its gonna be awesome, first time meeting. Dodgers had to win their 107th to earn that meeting with 107 win SF.

A strong start for Giants' pitching.

If they want a young guy to possibly start again on short rest it was wise to get him out around 90 pitches instead of pushing him.

I'm honestly a bit surprised that they let Webb pitch into the 8th in the first place, considering that the Giants have the best bullpen in the majors. But yeah, he got through 7.2 innings with only 92 pitches, so there's that.

We survived Joe West, can we survive Angel Hernandez? He didn't manage to fuck up being first base ump as much as usual but there weren't too many plays there.

Well, Angel strikes first against the Giants, so...

I don’t buy jerseys but if I did it would be a Betts one. Extra respect for going through life named Mookie.

I should probably get one, pretty safe with another 12 years under contract.

I considered it for a minute — maybe if they won — then I checked prices.

    whats wrong with mookie?

mookie wilson was a famous baseball player for the mets 1986 title team. he hit the super famous ball that went thru buckners legs. one of the biggest moments in baseball history.

mookie blaylock was a star in the NBA. 90s grunge band pearl jam was originally named mookie blaylock but were forced to change the name. their hit album "ten" was named after mookie blaylocks jersey number, he wore #10.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

Well, this first Giants/Dodgers postseason series hasn't disappointed so far. Talk about excellent pitching all around.

And the Red Sox won. Now if the Astros win it’ll be 2 of the 3 teams I dislike the most in the AL advancing. The 3rd being the Yankees. Really hoping the White Sox can pull something off.

    Oof...

Barrett's brutal NLDS Game 3 ump scorecard shows rough night

Barrett was so bad he almost made Angel Hernandez's performance in Game 2 look respectable.
That's a savage tagline, but Barrett's 87.8% accuracy is the 30th worst game accuracy out of 2441 entries on umpscorecards for this season.

What percentage of ball/strike calls are blatantly obvious and not borderline at all? I'd guess around 85 - 90%. Some of these guys are an absolute joke. Bring on the automated strike zone already.

I honestly don't understand the hatred that some people have for the idea of an automated strike zone. Like, sure, the human element (ie, a messed up call) is "interesting" from a neutral perspective, but in the same way that a pandemic is "interesting" in that it generates news and focus. That doesn't mean that it's good, or even fair.

Still, it looks like progress is being made towards that end.

Umpires can go, nobody will miss them. They're so poorly administrated and unaccountable that there is no real way to salvage them, easier to just be done with them and let most of it be automated.

Welp I was right about the Brewers going cold and dropping 3 straight, just figured they were gonna get swept not go out 1-3.

Back to not caring about Baseball for another few years until the Brewers are good again again.
