Finally, was hoping the Astro's would win it.
Finally, was hoping the Astro's would win it.
Game was quite...insane.
Read somewhere yesterday before the game that both the Dodgers and Astros claimed the baseballs were more slippery than previous series.
What a nutz!
gawwwwwwd lets just get to game seven
Once the series is over it looks like the Marlins are going to dismantle their team again.
I finally get to watch an entire game and it was a fairly boring, uneventful game. Ho hum. G7 might be insane though.
So excited for this game. Game 7 of the world series is one of the best things to happen in sports.
I just hope the Dodgers pull it off.
Also as @xskarma said, win it so the racist who should have been suspended for the rest of the series doesn't get a ring.
I think Darvish is gonna hit free agency.
The Astros have faced Darvish for a long time. They know how to attack him, and he wasn't on his game. Shoulda been pulled before facing Springer the 2nd time.
Congrats to the Astros, and the city of Houston.
Grats to Sports Illustrated for calling it more than three years ago.

The Houston Astros defeated all 3 highest payroll teams in the playoffs gg.
And Gordon to Seattle to play CF, not sure I think that's a great idea what with his zero major league outfield experience.
I think they did that to butter up Ohtani. They already said Nelson Cruz would be in LF 3/5 days in his rotation and just run Ohtani at DH. But oh well. Complete organizational failure to not only be unsuccessful to get him, but lose him to a divisional rival. Mariners will continue to be bottom feeders when other teams in the AL make moves to remain competitive.
Angels move is a bit weird too, promising DH ABs to the guy when they own $114mil over the next four years to their current DH.
Pujols is a sunk cost and was the worst regular in MLB last year. He was worth -2.0 WAR, that's one of those numbers you only get by being really bad but being forced to play a lot by a contract. Essentially they got Ohtani for free and he would've probably signed for 20M+ a year if he was allowed to. Might as well just count Pujols contract as his, and make Pujols a coach or something.
And Ohtani is coming primarily as a pitcher, the DH thing is just a little bonus.
I don't doubt he'd be better than Pujols, but what are they gonna do with the guy? Wait for him to reach 3000 hits and hopefully retire? They're stuck with that contract and that player, I see no easy solution for them.
