.
I'm guessing we'll see a teaser on the anniversary (next friday). It lines up perfectly for an in dev monday, PTR shortly after and a release on the 13th.
As an update on that: http://us.battle.net/heroes/en/blog/...sary-5-24-2017
That's a lot of free booty coffers!

Some candle teaser on Blizzard app. Seems Diablo related..?
I'm usually skeptical about all kinds of fan predictions and nonsensical hype, but OMG it's Deckard Cain! His heroic will be a camp fire which attracts all nearby heroes to stay a while and listen! Either a support so it will heal allies, or a specialist so it will stun enemies! And the second one will be a super low damage, but long lasting single target stun called "My Third Leg"!
Either that, or the candles are a last vigil for HotS which drowned in a sea-less sea of salt.
Is it just me, or did the player base get about 100% more toxic since 2.0?
Lots of new players from other MOBAs or just bad luck?
The amount of senseless flaming that I had to endure,..really debating to quit this game.
"Zarya goes in 1v4. Blames healer (ping ping ping, reported moron, f**** u)"
we win the game despite this crap.
Zarya + dude "GET CARRIED LOL"
...
Anyone noticed an odd and vaguely infuriating bug with the AI since 2.0?
I've been slammed these past few weeks, so I've only been able to get on for a quick match now and again, usually against the AI, and I've noticed something SUPREMELY annoying, which has turned a number of what should have been 8 min wins into 30 mins slogs.
Every so often, and I can't work out why, my AI team mates will decide that they've had enough and start being tools. They'll spend 10+ minutes just running out to mid field then hearthing back. The whole team will run as a pack, ignore team fights, not cap objectives and just generally act like their petulant dicks trying to throw the game. Usually they'll pull it back after 10/15 mins of this and we'll eventually scrape out a close win, but I've had a fair few cases over the past weeks of losses (in fucking AI!) that should have been easy wins, because I've not been playing a hero I can carry on, and my whole team has decided that they just want to spam hearth, and not play the game.

I haven't been playing full AI matches, but sometimes (at least on specific maps) when a player leaves and a bot takes over, the bot will walk to a keep in some lane, maybe shoot a minion or two, heartstone back to base and keep repeating that. Even better is when it tries to take over a mercenary camp, either can't do it or just stands there, then teleports back to base aaaaaand keeps repeating that.
Happened on Hanamura and Cursed Hollow. Maybe on one of those Diablo maps as well.
I see people in matches and chat that have this cross next to there profile... it says they are silenced, does that mean they have been reported for bad behavior?? If thats the case i am really shocked how many players who is acting like idiots because i see so many everyday just by roaming around in chats and watching the TAB ingame

Dunno where else to post it and didn't want to create new thread just for it, but apparently Blizzard is tinkering with changes to stealth heroes:

Great. I hope that'll discourage this cancerous "i'll just sit there in the back stealthed while my team have to engage blindly so i can unload into 50% armour Muradin and disengage" gameplay.
I love how Tyrande stealth works, its literally what they describe in this blue post

It's more often a liability than a strength, but can punish dumb drafts and dumb positioning - I'm looking at you Chromie on Hanamura. Playing against ultra-mobility like Genji, Tracer is much more annoying. Switching stealth to a scout role would probably disincentivize current players, so I'm fine with that as well
The only well designed current stealth heroes imho are Samuro with his conditional stealth and maybe Zeratul with his high skill cap. I'd also love to see Maiev with a similar system.
But there is no "switching" involved, current implementation of stealth is ideal for scouting - while standing still you are practically invisible and can help your team initiate on unsuspecting opponent. It's already very strong and it makes me sad that many players don't understand it and use it, basically, to easily land their first skillshot on enemy who wasn't paying attention.

Balancing the whole hero around one part of the kit is never a good decision. IMO they should increase the cooldown of T or make stealth last a certain amount of time and in exchange give her some survivability like life steal. Currently she's good at picking lone, wounded heroes and nothing more - no real teamfight presence, not tanky enough to solo capture camps, others heroes are much better at pushing creeps than her - she oftens ends with good k:d ratio but her damage done and xp contribution is awful.
Can't tell anout other stealth champions yet.
I have been thinking about it. Currently we have 3 stealth Heroes: Zeratul, Nova and Valeera with our dark prelate being the clear winner.
I like the idea of pushing them into more utility based roles even though I disagree with popular notion of it being broken or 'unfair'. Right now, I think Stealth Heroes are either a 'counter' to blatant bad play (Not taking any Reveal or just running around alone with low health) or all about abusing small windows of chaos in fight to blow up targets when they are focusing on something else.
Now when you look at specific Heroes:
- Zeratul - He is a pure winner, no doubt about it. He has pretty high burst damage, but it requires a mechanical finesse to rotate abilities and AAs. On top of that he has powerful in and out mobility with Void Prison as massive utility. He can scout and rarely get caught, while having the ability to set up fights and jump in to burst people and move back.
- Nova - She only has damage and maybe Bribe on Hanamura, otherwise she brings nothing to the table and is easy to punish once caught.
- Valeera - It is a first Hero in HotS to be nerfed simply because of Quick Match. Her Ambush build with Cold Blood could blow up even tanks. Cold Blood got removed and Ambush build nerfed. She has some utility in her kit with Poisons and access to Stun or Silence, but it is almost impossible to use as it needs you to go into melee range with no gap closer like Death from Above for Ambush, or Zeratul's Blink or Seeker in the Dark for Singularity Spike. If they have reveal, you are never going to get that close and your openers are very important. Even in chaos of battle it is hard as there damaging abilities being thrown around, almost impossible to find good flank position or dodge it all. She was viable only when she could global people.
Samuro is basically a stealth hero as well. He can do what Zeratul can just a bit better since he is much more versatile... useful in teamfights... excellent escape.. hard to target... higher damage.
Only advantage Zera has is the ult... but sometimes dmg ults are better... just to blow up a caster or healer.
This "unfairness" comes from lack of counterplay - they either have to make it more visible (which would be kinda bad) or make it less "available" (make it not work when mounted up and remove the "grants mounted speed" bullshit). There should be some downside to being nearly invisible that can open up some counterplay. That's where "unfair" argument comes from, the argument of "i got blown up 100-0" is completely different story and involves burst-oriented heroes, not specifically stealth heroes.
Any hero is a "counter" to "bad play". Reveal in game is mostly luxury (which it supposed to be), because it's not that hard to deal with stealth heroes (holy fire and other AoE effects). Running around alone with low health - again it's not about stealth heroes to prey upon singled out targets, plenty of "duelists" here who can finish of or take out targets by themselves.
Singling out opponents midfight is what mobile assassins do - not specifically stealth heroes. So, what exactly is a "stealth hero"? Right now they don't have a niche by themselves, and stealth is hardly a "tool" (tho, how stealth is implemented for Samuro and Tyrande is how it supposed to be IMO) since its available almost all the time. What really helps Zeratul to "abuse small windows of chaos in fight" his tripple blink, or stealth? How exactly Genji is different from Zeratul in this "abuse small windows of chaos in fights" case?
Stealth should allow you to attack from unexpected angles, allow you to give your team information on enemies in somewhat safe manner, it should give you an ability to strike first when played correctly. Right now it's just all over the place and most of the time used to safely transport from point A to B while looking somewhere else (which should be a players skill of their own, you should be aware of where your character is, and what happens on the map)
