Fun and some what comepetive classes for mostly mythic plus?

So I'm wanting to make an alt but I'm having a tough time deciding. My main is a paladin and I like him but I also can get quite bored as well. I have jumped around to numerous characters including shaman, monk and warrior. I don't mind those classes but I just can't play them the amount I would like to for an alt.

I was thinking about maybe going either hunter, lock, rogue or druid (for tanking) all of which are the only classes that aren't 110. I was kicking the idea around of maybe becoming a tank. In case I go tank I would go either druid, DK or DH. I'm not wanting someone to choose my class for me but I just want some insight on how these classes play.

I really love my fire mage on m+ content and it's good for them in my opinion

If you can get the legendary shoulders, BM hunters are the most fun you could possibly have on M+. Their free movement coupled with short bursts means you'll pretty much be bursting on every single pull. It's very entertaining.

You also have a lot of CC tools to help the group succeed at higher difficulties. All in all, the most fun you can get for M+.

Except... you know... high dependency on the shoulders. Hunters have a lot of crap Legendaries, too.

As a tank I hate fire mages in m+ (and my closest wow friend is fire mage) because they can't control their aoe at all and you have to do extra stuff like pulling packs differently to not aggro unnecessary mobs, especially in dungeons with lots of neutral mobs like EoA. I'm not talking about dps performance, but just another feature to consider.

I wouldn't recommend rolling druid for tanking if you want a fun spec. I have a lot of active tank alts and guardian druid is BY FAR the most boring tank I have ever played. Yes, it is the best tank right now hands down, but the playstyle is very underwhelming in terms of fun. Paladin tank is probably the most fun, especially if you like doing good damage while tanking.

If you want the highest overall damage possible MM hunters are where its at. No other spec comes close.

I have three tanks - Blood DK, Veng DH and BrM Monk. All three are +/- equally geared - ~885. I do M+ at least x5 on each every week.

BrM is the most fun. The utility is insane - teleporting, mass stun, 1 min ''cage'' CC. With Stagger you can easily handle mechanics that make DK and DH dip below 30%, such as Dark Slash from first boss in MoS.
On weeks like Nectrotic and Ragng, you can cheese that by statue and other neat tricks. I could go on but if you ever decide to tank M+ and have fun and challenge yourself - BrM is the way to go.

BrMs are getting nerfs (they call it "redisign") in 7.2.5 so I wouldn't be that sure about their future. We need to wait.

If you are going Tank and want to have fun go DK.
Massive fun in gripping mobs in dungeons around

Yes, EoA is dung that I hate doing because all the extra pack pulls and maybe court of stars start packs there is some uncontrolable ignite spreading. On other dungs it's learn to play problem if you pull something

It's clear as day that don't play tank.

Dont pick a DPS, you wont find groups.

Prot-Warri with Legandary-Belt und Booming Voice > all.

Affliction warlock is one of the best classes for mythic +, excellent boss dmg, very good aoe, mad selfheal. Should be the strongest dps class overall right now.

DH is very well rounded dps for aoe and st and that aoe stun is a bless
You think you do, but you don't ©
    Rogues are fine ©
We're pretty happy with rogues ©
    Haste will fix it ©

Brewmasters are already weak in mythic+ though. They're only strong in raids where you have multiple healers keeping maintenance heals(beacons, hots etc) on you. VDH by comparison is meh as hell in raids but much stronger in mythic+.

It's not like brewmasters are gaurdian druids and strong at everything

In average-high levels yes they're meh, but in extreme mythic+ they're really good. Not sure about the best, probably not, but certainly one of the best.

B-but druids are... Well, except single target damage, but aoe is good.

Agreed but the current iteration is the most boring spec I have ever played (though to be fair there's not that many I have tried). Of course others will find Affy great fun.

I enjoy it on my enh shaman, relatively high single target burst and average aoe, better depending on legendaries. Purely depends on personal preference though

BrM are more than fine in Mythic+
They are the only tank beside warrior to bring an AoE stun, they have really good AoE and with Facepalm relics, one of the best St damage for a tank. They deal better with tanks affixes than most too ( Skittish, necrotic are really easy as Brew. )

Enches are very weak in m+ . You have no burst what so ever, horrible aoe damage and no better ST than any other class basically. Slow stun, extremely squishy, heavy RNG based and even with bis leggys you cannot compete with anything, this is a fact.

All of ur choices in next chars are pretty strong in m+.

If you want to tank druids is basically the best atm, but horribly boring to play. DK is rewarding, good utilitys, massive selfheals but extremely bad movement.
Demonhunters are also good tanks these days, alot of properly good utilitys with sigils, the best movement ingame, low income of physical dps and good selfheal aswell. Their achillieas heel is still magic damage but its better in 7.2 than pre patch. You will have good results with all 3 classes, DK and DH are ALOT of more fun and harder to master which is why i would pick any of those 2.

Hunters are very strong in m+ this patch aswell. Bm hunters are my number one pick in m+ these days, they bring everything from lust, cr, good movement, counters most affixes really good and have stable ST and aoe aswell. MMs have more burst and slightly better overall dps but this is really a personal thing.

For mdps Assasination rogues and Demonhunters is both excellent choices in any dungeon or any difficulty.

Imo the best group you want for safe pushing is a Beartank, restodruid, 1BM, 1MM hunter and 1 assa rogue.
But as people say, you will have it hard to find groups as dps, since everyone now is farming for AP again there isnt a problem finding a 910 dps for a +10 grp or +8 even so you will depend on friends to boost you, as tank or healer this is no problem at all. in 1-2 days played you will easily be 895++
