So... Yeah. Seems some busy bees have dug around and found info for Patch 2.5.0

Including the big new thing which will totally keep us ALL playing for years to come!

PRIMAL Ancient Legendaries!

Yup, there's now a tiny teenie weenie chance that your legendary will roll Ancient and THEN roll Primal, meaning another increase in all it's stat ranges... No word yet on how this will work with LoN, but since it's still technically Ancient, I can't see why it wouldn't work. Unless of course they want to add another ring set similar to LoN that will work with Primal Items...

There are a few other additions, an Armory to store/swap sets on the fly, and Crafting Mat storage, which are both pretty decent additions, but the main push for the patch seems to be Primal Ancient Items.

So, what does everyone think? personally, I never really play long enough per season to worry about Ancients, let alone Primal Ancients, this seems like another tiny powercreep that will push the top 1% up a few more floors in Grifts, but will generally change very little for most people.

The titanforged stuff doesnt add much incentive for me in WoW (more or less the opposite, pulled me away further from Raiding) This change makes me want to uninstall D3.

Weapon ranges seem to roll ~16% higher (~18.2% for minimum range, ~14.0% for maximum range) on top of the added 30% more primary / secondary stats, so they add roughly one tier to your current maximum once you get a primal weapon of comparable quality. It's worth noting that primal rings with damage range actually scale better now: Their range is increased by 33% for both minimum and maximum, and considering weapons scale so little, they will have a relatively bigger impact than before. Good luck getting your gg primal compass roses / F+R / LoN rings .
Overall I would expect that high-end geared players will farm and push ~2 tiers higher than before because of the weapons and added stats, and perfectly geared players with full gg primals maybe 2.5-3 tiers. The chance to get a primal seems to be 1% (I got 6 primals out of 520 crafts).

The only good thing about the patch is the armory (which we should have gotten years ago) and the removal of bonus acts for bounties.

Fuck the new primal ancient shit though.

I honestly saw ONE Ancient all of season 8, and none in season 9 (I've already become bored of my Helltooth WD and quit again), so the chance of my seeing a Primal is about 0.

At this rate, the Necro pack is either going to have to be seriously good, or seriously cheap if it's going to get me back into the game.
