If I had no AC I'd go sit in my car, which has AC. The weather since Wednesday here in CT has been miserable, glad I installed a new 25k BTU wall unit a couple of weeks ago in my house.

The joys of living in a country that doesn't melt
Strip down to your underwear, the human body is covered in sweat glands designed to cool you so don't cover them up. You'll need to drink a lot of water to replace the sweat. Get a fan to evaporate the sweat that covers your body.
If it's humid sweat is not going to work, you need dry heat and I bet NY is humid af.

Lol. Awesome. While this may help cool the air around you for a while, it does not do one thing which AC does, which is lower the humidity. I can stand cold more than I can heat. It gets above 80 degrees F. and it is too hot for me. We have central AC and also a basement , which it is naturally cooler down there and we have a futon down there also should we get desperate.
Just puttin ice cubes on myself they are gone so fast
