Best spec for raiding now in 7.2.5?

What are the best rogue spec now according to logs? Seems like most core raiders in high guilds are still assassination?

As of right now, assassination and sub are in good spots. Making things even better is the fact that the two specs share identical stat priorities, and also share the same great legendary (shoulders). I could see high-end players actually switching between sub and sin depending on the fight, similar to how it was in HFC. But for most people, you can either stick to assassination or subtlety, and perhaps even outlaw.

People might also be waiting to get their tier gear before they switch to sub, but even then, sin's tier is also quite strong because of how the fights are in tomb, despite everyone complaining about it. And even when comparing sub and sin's tier bonuses together in a ST scenario, sub's isn't that much stronger. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...SWRLyc/pubhtml

Sub is better for AoE fights like Host, Harjatan, and Mistress. For the others depending on your gear they will be pretty even otherwise. Sub might also be a little better for KJ because of the shadow phase and the reflections. We'll see what happens when more people get 4P. The assassination set looks like it'll be really handy for inquisition and some of the other fights with long-lived adds.

You should play both assa and sub.
Sub is super strong of a some figths: Hajatar, Misstress and Desolate host , becouse it does an absurde amount of ST damage tx to shuriken storm buffing eviscerate (while add damage is pretty meh, but that's a non issue).
Actually, 940 itl sims show Sub to be much better then assa, but atm, this is not an issue.
On the other hand, assa really strong on Inquisition, Maiden and Avatar (and wi will probably play assa anyway here).
Both specs lock fairly good (for progression at last) with sub that will probably become better on most figths as gear progress.
