Replace Mastery Ench/Gem with Haste? as Ask Mr Robot Suggests??

I checked Ask Mr. Robot's Gemming/Enchanting Recommendations after 7.2.5 went live and they suggested
I trade out all my Mastery Gems and Enchants for Haste.

also I am currently keeping my T19 2pc Bonus but they are recommending I keep the 4pc T19 Bonus even though it means equipping 2 iLVL 875 pieces.
when I have some non tier iLVL 900 pieces.

Not sure this is the best advice.

It does sound plausible.

if your haste is low then it will be better than mastery
and set bonuses scale really well with some of the legendaries

Check the results though. I once had AMR have me do a complete regem, re-enchant, and then move pieces around. When I simulated the changes it was a 500 dps increase.

Anyway, I ran a custom gearing strat for you that gets you advice tailored to you, increasing DPS by almost 1%. To use this, click the link, then click the green 'save and use' button. Go back to the gear page (hit refresh if it was already open), and in the stat weight drop down list (to the right of your character name), select your newly saved strategy. http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/simula...193ddeb02d57b4

This strategy will balance your stats with the best ratios, for the gear you have. Here's a forum post that explains the graphs and stat balances a bit more.

It looks like right now, Mastery and the 4pc will be best.

You current gear: 766k DPS
Best in Bags with custom strategy: 810k DPS
Best in Bags with default gearing strat: 802k DPS

Seems from my reading, a lot of these options both equipment, tier sets bonuses and legendarys provide pretty close results within a percentage point or so DPS.
I think my actual in game rotation or how I DPS while avoiding Boss mechanics probably would influence my total DPS more than 1 or 2%.

I guess you sort of answered my initial question and that at certain levels of Mastery, Total Haste actually becomes more important than total mastery.
I had been going with the assumption you always try to maximize Mastery.
