So... in Legion beta there was a map added called AssaultOnStormwind. It was also temporarily available as a dev test map but was never actually shipped with the game outside of the name of the map.

I agree. It didn't feel like much was revealed in that sampler at all as to what the next expansion will really be about.

Siege of Stormwind is going to be the moment that sets off 8.0. Much as I'd hate to say it, odds are Genn dies defending Anduin or something. This leads Anduin to devote himself to war against the Horde because defeating threats to the Kingdom is "what a king would do."

And then we travel to Kul'tiras and get our war on, while our war inadvertently unleashes the Old Gods for us to deal with in 9.0.
