I thought they matched but they don't. Kul Tiras Marines don't use that version of it either.

It's not a painting, it's just really low res. The guy has the same weird chest cavity that human males have in-game. Log in and check for yourself.

Look at the collar and the armor highlights, you can literally see the strokes.

Because it doesn’t look like a painting, it looks like either in-game models or a really good Photoshop job. The bananas look suspiciously hi-res to me, but the lighting on them is really accurate to the scene. Shadows etc.

If it’s fake, it’s a good one! Particularly like the banana stamp on the crate.

How are people not seeing that its a painting?

Because imo it's not. Obviously not something to discuss or fire shots about, just pre-emptively. We'll see later today (EU, yay!). But painting, still shot, promotional shit. It's in-line with Blizzard's usual stuff and you simply can't rule out that it's a shot of a fraction of a screen. We've got quite a few people with art experience on our friendly Discord and they're also saying both is possible. Either way, if it turns out to be a painting, jesus christ. Well timed good work, good work indeed - and utterly gone to waste.

The Kul Tiras pic is likely one made using in game assets and worked on with after effects in photoshop/blender. People on Argent Dawn RP server do it a lot! I'll try see if I can find the pic amongst any well known artists.
