Is it a stretch to say they decided a month ago to make a trailer announcing WoW: Classic and that they've actually made 0 progress on the project, or even started it? Since they were stuttering and stumbling through that announcement even at the opening ceremony.

I think you might be on to something. It feels very late-minute. They didn't announce if it was going to be locked-patch or progression. Sort of like they found out last month that the expansion didn't look so hot and they needed something else.

Allied races going through wrath-tbc-cata zones is exactly the same as Pandaren leveling in those same zones, or goblin and worgen going to Northrend/Outland. It's not some new issue that is rising.

Also, at least we'll get 110+ phases

Where the heck are we supposed to get all our free gold if we don't have a follow-up to the Garrison/Class Hall type of gameplay? I'm sure it's in their best interest to make gold relatively easy to get because they make so much money selling tokens.

I hope gold is still plentiful because I'm not sure I feel like I wanna fork out 15 bucks after playing the game for "free" for so long.

Removing content in an expansion light on adding it elicits a "YES."

This is why we get the B Team every other year.

On one hand, I'm really glad to see follower content gone; however, I just can't help but feel completely underwhelmed by how lackluster this expansion seems.

I actually already predicted. I think randomness gets cut.

We get Islands and the War Front. But there's no randomness. It's just "here's an island, it can have one of two threats. The items are all pre-placed and maps are going to be on wowhead of the fastest routes." or "Here's Commander Gates. He builds footsoldiers constantly. You can beat him by just buying upgrades."

Wouldn't surprise me if their "Sneaky Pete" Advanced AI gets cut, too.
