Do you get an email like you used to when you’re selected for Beta or is it just a surprise? I remember when I played Beta for Pandaria they emailed me. Just curious

Mail is delayed. Check your games page on your Battle.net account to see if you got added, it should show up as a second PTR.

I always had heard you had to be subbed for 90 days prior to get invited. But my sub lapsed for a day the very day that alpha started and I still got in like a month later.

So I got nothing. I'd assume you need to be subbed somewhat recently at least.

It's generally up as soon as beta arrives, sometimes its later due to technical difficulties.

I think with only 3 months of testing left before the prepatch hits live servers, they'll probably do some things faster than in the past betas.

Don't think it'll be that far away. I'd say that in 1-2 weeks we should hear something about it.
They must start Raid Testing soon as well.

9 beards on beta (counting the clean shaven option). P sure that's the amount they have on live.

I never get alpha access. Checked my email, nothing. Checked launcher, nothing. Closed and open launcher, beta BFA on there. Tbh although I never get alpha, but I've gotten every beta since MoP. Guess I'll DL and check some stuff out.

Made a stupid mistake and now all the millions of new invites are of no help. Can someone here please tell me where the portal back to Boralus is in Stormwind? Someone said Mage Tower but all I found there was one to Blasted lands.

On alpha there were portals beside the bank (although they aren't there for me with new beta character but I've not done the intro yet) so maybe worth a look there.

1) With the BDA go under the Region/Account picker and select Beta. Click Install.
2) Let it go for a while then stop it
3) Go into the Blizzard logo -> Settings -> Game Install/Update
4) Note down where your Live wow install and Beta wow install are installed.
5) Quit the BDA and all Blizzard games. Wait 5 minutes to make sure no Blizzard programs are in memory
6) Go to your Live folder.
7) Right click the Data folder go Copy
8) Go to your beta folder
9) Right click Paste
10) Say Yes to replacing what's there.
