im not a sports fan either, but you actually dislike some? it bothers you that other people like it'?
No I didn't, read it again...I clearly state that I consider people who watch stuff because the masses watch it idiots...I don't like sheep mentality.

And no, I don't dislike sport. I however do dislike watching some sports, I rather watch the grass grow than watch footbal. Doesn't mean I have issues with people doing said sport or fans who watch it. My issue is purely with sheep mentality to be cewl.

im not really a sports fan in general, but when a team from Chicago does well, i jump on the bandwagon and enjoy the ride.

i dont watch hockey but was 100% a Blackhawks fan when they were in the Stanley cup..

and you better fucking believe i was singing the Superbowl Shuffle back in '85 lol

One of the largest sporting single events in history and people pretend they don't have a clue, fair enough you may not like combat sports but if you paid any attention to any social media, news outlets or just visit pretty much any internet forum and you would have seen something about this fight and these fighters. Unless you're shutting yourself off in a cave with no internet you should have heard about this fight.

Do I give a shit about boxing? Not really. But am I interested in one of the best MMA fighters going up against arguably the best boxer in history? Of course I am, what a spectacle that could be and what a spectacle it was.

I didn't mean I wasn't insulting anyone, I was insulting mindless idiots. I wasn't insulting the sport, or fans of the sport though. I'm pretty sure my original post is very clear in the message and who I am targetting.

If anything despite not enjoying any sport really, I'm a great supporter of sports in general...more because of the social aspect it provides for people actually enjoying the sport and the value it provides in teamwork. I'm going to deep on the subject now. xD

so you have an issue with more people watching the Superbowl than during the regular season?

and you are completely baffled as to why more people watch the Superbowl?

i mean i get it, lots of people watched that fight just for the spectacle, but i dont see anything wrong with that.

Yes. Exactly that. The only way I could justify it for myself if I lived in US was that mid game there is a big show if I remember and a lot of new trailers are shown somewhere along. It's more of a "holiday" than anything else isn't it?

I'm not from the US so I don't know all the stuff going on aside from the actual game, but as far as the actual game goes...yes I'm baffled.

Though I want to state that I don't really have issues with it, I just think it's extremely stupid...but people do a lot of stupid things in my eyes. As long as it doesn't bother me in person people can do whatever the hell they want and I won't tell them to stop doing it regardless of retarded or not I think something is.

Just because I have a negative viewpoint doesn't mean I'm telling them to stop, it's my "problem" that I think it's stupid.

He never said they didn't, his post was pretty clear on what kind of people he's calling out.

understandable, but when it deals with people having fun watching a sporting event i dont really mind. i get it. its a reason to get together with friends and family and hopefully enjoy yourself.

im not a sports fan in general, but i get it

You think it's stupid that people want to enjoy the most high profile sporting events, while not being interested enough to watch the sport on a regular basis? I think you're stupid if that is genuinely how you see it. You're an anime fan, do you think it's stupid if someone is interested in watching a specific anime while not being a real anime fan and watching others? Or what if someone generally doesn't eat Pizza but they're going to the best Pizza restaurant? What if someone doesn't usually game much but then buys, plays and enjoys only the most high profile releases 1-2x a year?

Are all these people stupid too? If this is how you see it then you have a mental issue you need to sort out in your brain.

Never heard of Floyd. I don't watch any sport, so when I hear names like that it just goes in a big box in my head labelled "probably sports people?".

Those aren't even remotely the same things though, I suggest you go google some other examples if you wanted to prove something. And I wish people really fucking read posts instead of being triggered all the timer.

I literally said in my last post that while I think it's stupid, that it is my issue and aside from sharing my opinion I'll never tell people to not do something.

Unfortunately they didn't post one. Bad chart etiquette.

Seemingly they doubled down on their efforts too. I guess the match was pretty exciting?
Not eve Floyd? He was part of a similarly famous match v pacquiao.

These are more words I do not know.

Here's the folder in my brain labelled "boxer": Muhammad Ali; people who fought Muhammad Ali; Uwe Boll that time; some others (?)
And the "MMA" folder: Ronda Rousey; the pornstar who played Ronda Rousey; the cool lesbian who fought Ronda Rousey; <new entry> Tattoo McScottyface

Damn, you're accusing me of being triggered while you're swearing your head off? You don't like the examples, who cares? The examples don't matter, what matters is the concept you have here and that you're not defending or explaining your opinion. You stating "i'm not telling people not to do something" doesn't mean anything and is pretty dense. Whether or not you're telling people not do something has no bearing on the discussion and would be irrelevant even if you did.

If you're going to share an illogical or irrational opinion of blanket stating people are stupid then you should back that up with some actual reasoning. Because no it really isn't stupid at all that more people watch the Superbowl than the rest of the American Football season, it is the biggest event with the highest stakes and people who enjoy the sport but perhaps are not massive fans are more likely to watch that than the other events.

It's no different in any sport, more people watch the British or Monaco Grand Prix, more people watch the Indy 500 than any other race in the series. The car manufacturers and fans in Endurance Racing care more about the Le Mans 24 hours than any other event of the year, including the overall championship and only the Le Mans even sees strong viewership.

People not being interested enough to watch a sport regularly but watching the biggest or most important events and enjoying them doesn't make them stupid. If they watch and enjoy the event then where is the logic in your opinion? There is none, and that's why you've still not explained it, you probably don't even believe what you said yourself and are just trying to stand your ground and save face with stubborness.

Strange. The fight was so boring that jacking it to bitches getting railed on PornHub was a good alternative for me.
