Does Legion's soundtrack feel dull and generic compared to the older ones?

At the beginning I think it was "fine" with the starting non-fel zones, but then we went to the shore and stood there for around 5 months. Now we are on Argus for who knows how much longer. The only thing I appreciate on the floating rock is the piece from SMV's cinematic where alternative Velen does his thing.
This is probably from the fel-fatigue thing again - I know it can't be pretty, but is it necessary for the soundtrack to be so lifeless as well? It kind of looks like shooting yourself in the foot if you go with such a theme for an expansion. There are way less memorable tracks compared to before for me.

I would say 50/50, I like some of it really. All expansions has had dull tracks.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

There are some good tracks but they seem to reuse the same soundtracks quite often and many of them are indeed kinda generic. I loved hearing the WC3 cinematic soundtrack in Karazhan though (even though that's not a new soundtrack).

Say what you want about WoD, but the music really was amazing. To this day, the Warsong soundtrack might be one of the best crafted pieces Blizzard have done in a long time.

Yeah, that's the sad part about WoD. The story was shit but the execution was really good. Incredible soundtrack, great zones, the "Lord of War" series... It's a shame that they decided to abandon the expansion.

No it doesn't. Cata had far more generic soundtrack than Legion.

Cata was undeniably one of the worst expansions with Legion being the best of the worst and WoD being *the* worst cata hitting the dead middle.

But one of its Best, undeniably, best, features...

    Was its music.

How can you forget *This* came out in Cata?

Now compared to this, Legion does feel like its biggest weakness more than anything is a MASSIVE BONER for TBC tracks being rescored aswell as some WoD/Cata ones.

I think while I like Legions Score, the Legion theme is epic and the return of the DH one is pretty nice too...

But.... ...its over-reliance on gothic, edgy choiral themes makes it feel detracted sometimes.

However, it did bring me the creepiest soundtrack in wow since Naxxramas, the Emerald Nightmare score is genuinley haunting...

    Sooo-... 50/50?

The zone music is okay, but there's tons of great stuff you don't really hear that often ingame. "Anduin's theme" and "Canticle of sacrifice" are amazing imo. Overall I like it better than Warlords which partially had this "chunky" and "bulky" feeling to it. However I'd definitely place it lower than Mists and Cata.
I never quite understood why people like the Vanilla and BC music so much. Must be nostalgia.

Yes, Cata had nice music overall, I am not denying that - all fo WoW expansion (and vanilla as well) had great soundtracks.

Still doesn't change the fact that for me Cataclysm had the worst one of any expansion and the dullest. You can not agree about that and I don't care, this is how I feel about it.
