Yeah growing so much that people can't afford homes and are shitting on the street, sounds like we need all of America like that
First you attack how popular these cities are, that demand for housing is pushing up prices, to then go with hyperbole of shit on the street?

It's a problem that exists. But it's a problem that's far more complicated than "Librul SF policies bad!" as it touches on state and federal laws/policies as well as cultural issues. Plus delves back into history a ways back when Reagan kicked mentally ill people out of treatment facilities and onto the streets. Plus other states (and cities) bussing their local homeless/mentally ill populations to SF.

But it's easier just to reduce that to a "poop on da street because libruls bad" angle of attack.

Actually, this happened almost immediately after George Washington declined to run for a third term. In fact, it directly led to the Twelfth Amendment that has the President and Vice President elected separately instead of the runner-up becoming Vice President.

EDIT: Unrelated, an interesting opinion piece in the New York Times about why Republicans are so vehemently defending Trump:

It’s hyperbole, plain and simple. Something that isn’t congruous with housing prices going up. If these cities have prices for housing going up, while having shit on the street... that would make shit on the street a desirable trait when selling your house. Last I checked, that isn’t the case...

    Come on dude, that's nonsense.

The shit is entirely separate from housing prices going up and in no way directly connected to those increase. The increases are coming because there's still more demand for housing from wealthy tech folks who want to live and work in the same city. It's not a desirable trait, but it's not undesirable enough to negatively impact housing prices or demand.

That being said, we're getting off-topic here so I'll drop it at this. We can keep going in PM's if you want.

    Off-topic? I’ll fix that...

They are related, because both are Trump’s attacks on major cities. The same cities where Trump owns most of his property. Shit driving up house prices, is mockery based on incongruous ideas of waste filled cities and housing prices going up. It should be obvious there is something that makes these liberal cities so popular, that they have increasing housing value, despite streets filled with waste.

As someone regularly traveling between NYC and Seattle, those assertions are insulting. The housing prices going up, shows that people want to live here and are putting a lot of money behind said desire. There being shit on the street does not seem to stop them and personally, I have not seen shit on the streets in either Seattle or NYC.

This includes Trump’s own property being largely located in these areas, for the very reason that prices are going to continue to go up.

So wait you would rather have a piss poor economy as long as people had housing? Sounds very "communist" to me?.

Odd, same thing happens in other states that don't have the same growth just on a smaller scale.
Same thing was happening in NYC during their negative growth years as well as the positive ones. Its almost like the two are not related at all....hmmmm.

Its almost like housing has become unaffordable in almost the whole country.

Its almost like there is not enough low income housing, but the solution to the problem would be "socialistic" in getting the govt to fund low income housing since the private market has no desire to make cheap housing.

Homeless people doing horrible things like shitting on the streets? Sounds like a mental health issue, I wonder what this current administration is doing about that problem. Oh ya, they made promises to get elected and have done shit since.

In what could possibly be the best metaphor in Trump's tenure:

A mouse fell from the White House ceiling and landed in a reporter's lap.

Are the beds full of bed bugs too? Or piss maybe?

Sounds like Trump is taking care of the WH as well as he is of his hotels.

Now now, we all know Stephen Miller isn't acting head of anything, nor do I believe he's heavy enough to fall through the ceiling.

If the floors can support Trump, I'm sure they can support Miller.

Being as there’s no dirt on Biden (it was investigated, and in fact a more anti-corruption prosecutor was installed), then him asking to find something is asking him to make up dirt.

Not to mention “cloud flare” nonsense.

Small minded people can’t see implications.

"The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me."

Oh, sorry, Trump just asked Zelensky to back up the shit Trump made up. Totally different.

He wasn't quoting the memo. You'd know this if you actually read my post beyond the first sentence.

Generally speaking, if you ask someone to investigate something that doesn't exist, the real world considers it making shit up.

So we are "getting real", it's not our fault you can't keep up.

Well since you can't find something that doesn't exist.... the alternative is causing it to exist....
