Except it's becoming readily apparent that Flynn confessed on the bad advice of his lawyer which the judge (and everyone else) now knows was entrapment due to his son being targeted. Don't be surprised if the verdict is simply vacated.

This is what they talk about when they say Dems just can't stay out of their own way. What are you going to say when despite 100k+ dead, unemployment, sliding poll numbers (whatever those are even worth these days), that Trump STILL manages to beat Biden. Yikes, that's going to be embarrassing.
Entrapment is when the police get you to commit a crime to charge you with, not when you already committed the crime and they pressure you to confess.

Then his fanatics will get themselves killed and forever brand anything aligned with trump and alt far right as pure Terrorism.

Sadly innocents will get hurt cause of it.

Also you will see a huge amount of people say they “never” supported those terrorist or trump.

You could make the argument they already are, infected by the Flu Klux Klan who refuses to follow medical advice and LIBRATE. We'll never know how many people were effectively intentionally made sick by these willful carriers, but the correct answer should have been zero.

Oh so polls don't matter again, but on 4/2/2020 you said the following in a thread that's now been closed.

So even if less people are voting due to deaths from the virus, blue counties will still vote blue and red will still vote red. Question is whether the swing states will switch and there currently there is no indication they will, given that his overall approval rating and virus response rating haven't budged much, tells me that independents and swing states still lean his way.
So when things are looking good for Trump the polls matter, but when those numbers start going down like they are now then the polls don't matter anymore.

that doesnt really work. And remember a quarter of the people who died in Waco were kids who were shot to death with one 3 year old stabbed to death. Maybe retire that one chief.

The only comparision is that alot of these people have been primed for years the same way that cults emerge. I still cant get used to seeing men with guns in state capitols walking through state buildings.

If it wasn't for the fact that innocent people would almost certainly be sure to be hurt, I would relish the fact that a handful of fucking dumbshits would try to do something that ends up getting themselves killed.

New York Post Publisher Tells Staff That Business Is ‘Drastically Disrupted’ by Coronavirus, Announces Layoffs

    ‘THE PAPER IS DYING’

Employees were informed Wednesday of plans to freeze all new hiring, cut and even eliminate most freelance budgets, and lay off some staff.

Over the past several weeks, the Rupert Murdoch-owned Post has told its part-time staff of “runners”—the street reporters who feed copy back to the newsroom—that they would be receiving months-long furloughs without pay until the crisis was over. The team that works on the paper’s luxury supplement Alexa were also furloughed last Friday alongside a number of staffers from the sports department.

When asked whether he was concerned the federal government would try to seize the 500,000 tests Maryland procured from South Korea, Gov. Larry Hogan said it was a "little bit of a concern.” Hogan says the Maryland National Guard and state police were present when the plane landed, and that both agencies are still guarding the test at an undisclosed location. "It was like Fort Knox to us because it's going to save the lives of thousands of our citizens."
Republican governor of Maryland is literally hiding test kits the state purchased with armed guards because he doesn't want the feds swooping in to take them without explanation.

This is the absolute state of things. Again, remember the 9 more terrifying words in the English language are according to Saint Reagan?

My favorite George Carlin stand-up routine. Oh, wait, those are...slightly different words.

On topic: Pelosi announces CARES 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that Democrats will push for including almost $1 trillion in the next coronavirus relief package to help states and local governments hit hard by the pandemic.

That figure, Pelosi said, would likely be the single largest line-item of the Democrats' next emergency package, known as CARES 2, which is also expected to include hundreds of billions of dollars more to help workers, businesses and families weather the crisis.

"We're not going to be able to cover all of it, but to the extent that we can keep the states and localities sustainable, that's our goal," Pelosi told reporters in the basement of the near-deserted Capitol.

It means the Democrats' next emergency relief proposal is likely to approximate the massive size of the initial CARES Act, adopted March 27, which provided $2.2 trillion in emergency help largely for major industries and small businesses left devastated by the economic fallout of the global pandemic.

It also foreshadows a fierce fight with Republicans in the Senate, where GOP leaders had rejected any new funding for state and local governments in the last "interim" coronavirus bill, enacted last week, and are wary that any new help for states going forward would simply bail out governors for fiscal mismanagement preceding the health crisis.

"That strikes me as a pretty outrageous number, just for state and local support," Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) told reporters in the Capitol, shortly after Pelosi floated the $1 trillion figure. "We've already provided $150 billion in CARES 1."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has said he'd prefer to see the states declare bankruptcy than grant them more federal help.
"No way does she squeeze $1 trillion out of McConnell."

Nope. I don't think that's the point. She's coming out swinging, but this is a classic bargaining technique. She'll "settle" for half-ish, in exchange for which, McConnell gets more SBA and the Pentagon gets the other half-ish.

Or, McConnell holds the line, denies state and local governments funds in exchange for which he not only gets jack shit that he wants, but also, goes on record denying state and local first responders and other front line heroes the help they need. Have fun with that, Geezer in a Half Shell.

"They're risking their lives to save lives, and now they're going to lose their jobs? It's just stunning, and we have to address it," Pelosi said. "This isn't about any other budget issues for states; it's about the coronavirus outlays [and] revenue lost."

Pelosi said that assistance could arrive in as many as three separate "tranches" — providing aid to hard-hit states, counties and municipalities — and could extend for three or four years, providing long-term help as the economy stabilizes.

"It's not just for one year," she said. "It's over time."
    "Tranch?"

I assume it's some kind of sandwich.

LOL anyone see a trend here??? Shocking how these anti socialistic states are always the ones who benefit the most from socialistic govt programs.

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/30/polit...ges/index.html

While unemployment benefits serve as a financial lifeline for those who lose their jobs, the program typically replaces only about 40% of workers' wages, on average.
But now, many laid-off Americans are receiving bigger checks from unemployment than they did from their jobs, thanks to the $2 trillion coronavirus relief package passed by Congress in March. The bill included a historic $600 boost to weekly payments, on top of state benefits, that lasts for up to four months.
In 38 states, the combined payment is equal to or larger than the average weekly wage for the jobs that were lost, according to an analysis of Department of Labor data by Ernie Tedeschi, an economist at Evercore ISI.

Yeah, I've said this before, but Hogan is one of the few Republicans who have repeatedly refuted Trump the past few years. I'd say he is one of the few Republicans who is actually still a "Republican" and not "Trump's GOP". Kind of like McCain was and Romney sometimes is.

Huge portion of the population is retirees. No unemployment benefits to collect when you've already quit.

You have very little grasp on what entrapment is. Voluntarily confessing to something as part of a plea in exchange for something else is not entrapment. Bad advice from your lawyer is not entrapment.

I hate to see anyone suffer, even from self harm.

But Trump and his supporters are needlessly cruel. Frankly they enjoy watching others suffer. "He's not hurting the people he needs to hurt".
