The EC exists for one main reason: population density. Otherwise three states would elect the President forever. Not happening and we both know why.

As recently as 2016, Hillary Clinton drew flak for not having fully embraced a New York plan to give driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. And no one aggressively challenged Julian Castro when he called for decriminalizing illegal border crossings.

My vote in Wyoming should never be more valuable then someone elses vote in New York or Texas its that simple really. The senate is the great equalizer in the grand scheme of things to begin with where as the President represents the entire nation regardless if they want to acknowledge that or not. Hell i even consider myself a moderate for what its worth, i have not been upset at why people voted for Trump nor was i some kind of avid Clinton supporter but it does not take rocket surgery to understand that weighted voting is unequal and not fair in the slightest.

I think it's going to undergo big changes in the coming decades. States like Texas, Florida, Arizona, etc... are going to become blue. Winning the EC will become impossible for republicans outside of special circumstances. Whenever dems get control of the entire government (2020 or later) PR and DC will become states.

Republican rigging and cheating isn't going to save them. They will come on board to support changes to the EC, along with being forced to change their identity as a party.

The thing is, how far can they push that till they get push back and stopped. Have to remember, these are the same people fighting to keep from mandating verifiable paper readouts and security checks and updates.

If the illegal push was for Democrats, they would have mandated it years ago but instead they scream bloody murder about illegals voting which doesn't happen statistically while trying to push and abuse Voter ID Laws to kick legal voters off the rolls.

I've been the co-PI on research projects that have turned in... well let's call them reports... that were about 300 pages, and I couldn't recall every small finding or connection of what was contained therin. As anyone who has ever been in charge of anything can tell you, the buck does stop with you, but you're not responsible for micromanagement of every aspect of the project. That's what you have a team for.
