In the original script to the lion king scar killed simba. But they felt it was to dark for a Disney movie so the ending was redone.

I enjoyed the Jungle Book remake and thought the Beauty and Beast remake was a fun watch, if not that memorable. So I'm actually looking forward to this movie and fairly optimistic based on the cast.
