Low performance as Resto (logs inside)

Roughly 930 ilvl as Resto. Had been gearing for Moonkin, swapped to Resto tonight as guild was missing healers. Feel like I should be doing much better than what I am. I have no Resto Legendaries, so was using Antorus ring/Prydaz.

You will not be topping meters without resto legendaries but still you have very much room to improve. First get this mind set in your head. Your role is blanket healing. Our toolkit and mastery is designed around this. Keep people in reju and wildgrowth, keep lifebloom and cenarion ward on tank. These are your main strategic goals. Teach yourself to play around these core principles. Once you get to learn to play this way, you will see that legendaries are only going to make you better healer. Not the other way around.

    - Avoid using regrowth unless its absoultely necessary. That is not your strong point. Other healers do this job better. So let them do the spot healing. Your main job is to blanket the raid in reju, support tank with lifebloom and cenarion ward and support these with wildgrowth, swiftmend, tranquality and effloresence.

    - Use Germination instead of spring blossoms. Period. It needs very specific conditions to justify the use of spring blossoms.

    - Lifebloom is one of the best spells we have. Always keep it on somebody, preferably tank. Make max. use of it.

    - You cast only 5 Cenarion Wards. It has 30 sec cooldown which means you could have used at least 12 times in 6 minute fight.

    - Prepot before pull (prolonged power) and use one more pot during combat. 2500 intellect at first 1 minute of a 6 minute fight is nothing bad. Use a mana pot or leytorrent during combat. If you use germination and reju all over you will need this. Mana will be an issue.

    - Innervate for moar mana. You used only 1. You could have used 2 more unless you used it on another healer which should not be the case.

    - You used Essence of G'hanir only once and no flourish. That is a complete waste of your weapons' main contribution to your output and a total waste of highest level talent you have. These are your bread and butter. For now try to use them as many times as possible in a combat but in time you will know when to use them for max. efficiency.

    - You used only 1 tranq. You could have been using at least 2. Just you must organise this with other healers. If there is no such syncing, use it liberally on high damage.

    TL: DR
Stop using regrowth in raid. Or use as little as possible. (Use only Clearcast procs for example)
Use germination instead of spring blossoms.
Blanket raid in reju x 2 per person (with germination talent)
Wild growth on CD or as many times as needed
    Don't drop lifebloom.
    Use Cenarion Ward on CD.
Use innervate more and use a mana pot to manage mana.
Use Essence of G'hanir and flourish as many times as possible

"Blanket raid in reju x 2 per person (with germination talent)" + "Wild growth on CD or as many times as needed" and be OOM in 1 minute. To clarify our new restodruid and not confuse him/her... Blanket raid when expecting big raid wide damage. This is not wotlk.

Mana is manageable and must be. It is part of our job. He/she will learn how many rejuvs WG's you can cast before you go oom. 1 minute is too exagerated. 2 minute may be a better mark. But have no fear below tactics will help you manage your mana and last 6 minutes. You should be near to zero mana at the end of combat.

You do not need mana management in a 3 minute fight. Or minimum. You should last no problems. Below is for 6 minute intense fights like progression where you must throw everything you have to survive.

1- Get a Blessing of Wisdom. It really makes a big difference. If this is not available or they cast it on another healer, deal with it and conserve your mana. If you have BoW you can be more liberal with your game play. If you don't be more cautious.

2- Get an astral alchemist stone if you are an alchemist. If you are not, there is no reason why you should not be and all you need is to be lvl 1 alchemist to use. You can simply buy one off AH and upgrade it. Cost to upgrade may vary and you will need blood of sargeras. It gives a fuckathon of intellect once fully upgraded and has around %30 uptime + mana pot or leytorrent will give you more milage. (+%40)

3- Innervate at start. I mean start rejuving and WG and around %80-%85 mana mark innervate yourself. This will allow you to use innervate 2 times more in combat.

4- If you know the combat use an intermission or low damage downtime to drink leytorrent potion. Coupled with alchemist stone you could end up %50 mana.

5- If mana is still an issue get a Darkmoon Deck: Promises. This + alchemist stone will solve all your mana issues at a small cost to your output. Once you are comfortable with your mana you can swap them for better output trinkets at least one of them. Once you have Teardrop of Elune and/or Amanthul shoulders mana will be less of an issue.

6- Do not overwrite your rejuvs until last 5 seconds. It saves a lot of mana by not rejuving mindlessly and also adding the remaining time to the new rejuv extending it.
