More or less effects on weapons and gear in BFA?

Simply, what do want to see in BFA in regards for gear and weapon effects?

I, personally, am quite alright with effects but feel it could be toned down a little with faction-styled gear and weapons.

I am especially a bit tired on things such as smoke or glowing coming out of every weapon or shoulder armor since TBC. It is a bit tiresome looking like a walking furnace now and then and having a weapon that looks like you could take a smoke puff from it as well.

I really just want some plain old plate knight armor with the level of 3d quality used in Legion tier sets.

And some high-resolution versions of vanilla weapons.

I love the dark iron heritage armor, it fits the dwarf's frame perfectly, and has slight glowing effects, but isn't like a walking furnace.
