What a snoozefest so far. Then again, yesterday during Belgium-Japan the first half also was sorta quiet, so who knows?

this is going to penalties isn't it?

Colombia needs to do a substitution, for example, Pibe Valderrama...

    oh wait....

Yep, pretty much. Was expecting more, but without James Colombia really isn't that impressive. Good defense, crappy midfield.

So did Maguire, but that clueless idiot on the previous page clearly hides the fact.

First 15 minutes were ok, then it got boring. I can see this continuing and end up with penalties.

As it is, it can only go 2 ways - either England somehow manages to squeeze the ball in or it goes to penalties. Can't see Colombia scoring like this.

My impressions from 1st half: Colombia playing for extra time plus penalties. England attack not that impressive against an slightly above average defense.

England should have no problem taking this match: if they score, Colombia wont have the firepower to answer.

    American referee,

clearly MLS not up to standards with the rules,

the ref either had to either A) red card or B) nothing
A yellow makes absolutely no sense.

NA football needs to be brought up to scratch even on a refereeing standard - absolutely shambolic and embarrassing for the whole country.

Very nervy first half. England slowed down quite a bit after that shoulda-been red card, and Colombia kept getting more and more possession later in the half. But they just don't have the creativity in the middle to really challenge England's defense. I can only see England conceding a goal on a mistake, like that throw that was headed immediately to Falcao right at the top of the box.

Still don't know why we love playing sterling, he does nothing when he gets the ball (since 2014 world cup) literally useless. He makes a 5 yard run then loses it or simply forgets where the ball is and falls over it, bring on rashford right now.

and the pundits "protecting" him, like... why lol?

Everyone criticises neymar for play acting.. Henderson does the same and you all want red cards? Get a grip!

Yeah as if Hendo did about 14 rolls on the floor screaming for the baby jesus.
Stop drinking the cool aid and recognise neymar as the cheat that he is.

Yes, a headbutt is the same as neymar going down after someone touches him nearby. But its england, so its not violent conduct, as per usual
